#70 for LexCath is the shortest lineman I have ever seen at the high school level.

Ryle doing everything they can to keep LC in the game.

These announcers are calling every penalty on Ryle. The only problem with that, the Ref's are calling the penalties on LexCath. I think the announcers are 0 for 5 since I've been watching.

I agree Scott needs some work on offense. Their blocking needs some work. Defensively I thought they defended the pass well. Dixie's best pass plays were screens other than one nice long pass down the middle. The Dixie QB was running for his life a lot tonight. How many times was he sacked? I know Berling had 2.

They must have fed those kids well over the summer. Looked to me like they had plenty of kids over 200lbs. I thought Dixie actually had pretty good size.

Scott has a really good Defense. They tackle very well. Scott LB Jerry Berling is a stud!

Did Newport make the right hire?

They better get a whole lot better if they are going to beat SK. I love Cooper but I think SK is better. Good news for Highlands is they have several weeks between now and the SK game to get better.

No one has been more critical than me when it comes to Scotts lack of developing a passing game so let me give them some credit. In the scrimmage against Lloyd, Fitzgerald threw the ball very well and the receivers made some terrific catches. Even during the JV scrimmage Perrin made an unbelievable throw that was right on the money. A couple of things that stuck out to me from the scrimmage. Gage Tucker has really improved from last season. His footwork is much better and he did a great job with his blocks. When he goes forward, the defender is going backwards. The Jr has tremendous strength in his lower body. Nelson Perrin just doesn't do anything wrong. He was great on all three parts of the game, returning kicks, RB and QB as well at Safety. This young man is fun to watch! Scott has a lot of talent on its team. Lloyd really struggled to move the ball so hopefully their defense has improved from last year. As far as their offense, I just will never be a fan of that type of offense. If the Defense is improved, they will have a better record than they did last year even with the tougher schedule. I really believe Cooper would easily be a top 10 5A school if they were in that class again this year.

Well that really stinks! Any word on the status of Deondre Pleasant? He got hurt during the second series of the Lloyd scrimmage and never returned.

I think the closes we had in NKY was former Newport Coach Matthew Schmitz. The games I went to last year he rarely ever punted. Had pretty good success with that strategy as well.

I'll be surprised if this is a blowout. IMO, Cooper is best coached team in NKY. Their defense is very good. Offensively they block well and their RB was the best I seen last year. Only question mark is at QB and I don't think it is really that big of a question because this staff has proven in the past the ability to have a new QB developed and ready to go at the start of the season. Tough first game for Cooper but I wouldn't be shocked if this game went either way.

Yes they did and let's not act as if St X won this scrimmage they wouldn't be on here reminding everyone of that exact thing.

I don't think La Salle lost very many players from last year. They may be the best team in Cincinnati this year.
