  1. I didn't expect anything different!
  2. It probably helps a little but I think it has much more to do with their district being pretty bad since the realignment.
  3. I think SK has already made a pretty strong argument to be #1 right now. SK and Highlands are a whole lot closer than many want to believe.
  4. I'm sure some CovCath parent is constructing an anonymous email as we speak.
  5. I know he did. Fro actually threw the bag where the fumble occurred but why didn't he overturn the call? I realize he couldn't give CovCath the TD but couldn't he have given CovCath the ball at the spot of the fumble?
  6. Awful call! Come on Fro, you're better than that. At the very least should have been CovCaths ball.
  7. Good win Cooper! In the drivers seat to win the district. Has Cooper ever been district champs?
  8. Fair answer and I completely understand.
  9. What do you think? Last year you said Boone had more raw talent than CovCath. Do you feel the coaching staff is developing that talent?
  10. I can tell emotions are running high tonight. Nice win by SK. A healthy Powell makes this team so much better.
  11. I have a feeling that a certain fanbase will still be reluctant to give SK any respect.
  12. He's a beast and I think just a JR.
  13. Pretty sure its a split team. They do a blind lottery to split up the teams as to not overload one team with the best talent kinda like how Highlands does with their 16 middle school teams.
  14. Well we all know how the KHSAA views them as they refuse to send out Referee's to any place where Open shows up on the schedule.
  15. Since you didn't realize La Salle was a D2 school you probably don't realize how good they are this year. There probably isn't a team in KY that could beat them this year.
  16. And there lies the problem. They built the team to run. As one very good former Scott player said last night at the game, "Coach Woolley wants to make all these guys RB's". See above! The reason this team lacks receivers is because they don't attempt to develop receivers. But I do want to add this, you keep saying Scott lacks talent at the WR position, yet last year they had a player who wasn't talented enough (your words) to play WR at the high school level who now is currently playing WR at the college level. And this is why a one dimensional middle school style offense will not work in the bigger school divisions.
  17. It was total domination. There wasn't one aspect of the game that Scott was better than Cooper at. The one dimension middle school offense won't get it done against good teams. Scott's defense was really bad and the Oline underwelmed. I believe the Cooper back had over 1000 yard in the first 2 minutes, well not really a 1000 but he did have over 100 in the first two minutes of the game.
  18. Thats probably the basis for 95% of the answers to this question. I live in Kenton County but graduated from a school in Campbell County so it really doesn't matter to me. I was trying to be as objective as possible, heck i was even trying to make a case in my mind for Boone County but I couldn't.
  19. Not sure what you are trying to prove here. I never said historically Kenton County was better, I said they can certainly hold there own. I said it twice. Do you disagree with that? This current football season, Kenton is best of the three. Do you disagree with that as well?
  20. Beechwood cancels out Bellevue, Dayton, Newport and NCC in non mythical State Titles if we are talking titles alone. IF we are talking the best football from top to bottom Kenton County is the best this year and can certainly hold its own in past years.
  21. Agree! Woolley is a classy guy. He won't even attempt an extra point if his back-ups score. He has them take a knee.
  22. Win me over? I am a Scott fan but I like to think I am objective. I call it like I see it. Scotts inability to throw the ball will keep them from ever being a serious state contender. I know thats a large leap to put Scott in the conversation of winning a state title but if you want to atleast be a serious threat you have to be more than one dimensional. Lets face it, Scott really only runs 5-8 different plays. Last year they very much needed to be able to pass the ball against Mason County and couldn't. Ben Osbourne was the perfect QB to develop with his size and arm strength and the Scott coaches didn't do it. Ben was a 2.5 yr starting varsity QB, I bet during that time he threw less passes than he did his 8th and 9th grade years of playing middle school and frosh football. Look I know coach Woolley as well as a few other coaches on the staff and I like these guys but IMO they kind of run a middle school offense. Not gonna get it done at the varsity big school level.
