Henry County started slow offensively, but the 2nd half was better. Henry Co 's all-state candidate, Eric Butler did not dress, but the defense was able to get a score and produce a shut out. Ludlow is a solid team, and they have a tough bunch of kids, so this was a good victory for the wildcats.

Trimble County plays very hard. I was impressed by the effort the Raiders gave all night. #22 is also a player. Size is a problem for Trimble, but heart is not.

This win may be the start of something special for Carroll. Congrads

Good one!! Gallatin may not make it to the regional finals this year, but they will dominate the Conference, Class A and District.

The Wildcats have a 2 game win streak over the Panthers. This game will be fun, just like the last 2 have been. Gallatin 22 Carroll 20

Yes Butler is #11. I am not sure when he will be back.

I will take Henry County 35-14. Henry County's new QB Luke Magness will light it up, while the defense will try to get by without Eric Butler. Also in Dairy Queen Bowl action, I will take Trimble County in a dog fight over Casey County 12-8

Henry will beat Owen easy. There is a rumor that Henry County plans to shut out Trimble, Owen, Carroll and Eminence.

Owen gets 21-14 win. Owen will be 2-0 when Henry County comes to Owenton.

Frankfort will win the District with ease. I say Trimble and Gallatin fight for #2. Eminence does have some skill players, but I do not see them defeating Trimble or Gallatin.

Being back in the Class tourney will help

May be another tough year. Seniors Cody Hinkle and Steven Tillett are playing Football this year, and they will have some Football players join the Basketball team in the winter. Jr. Conner Jeffries and Hinkle could provide a good one - two punch, but a point guard may be needed.

In my area of the state (Henry, Trimble, Owen, Carroll and Gallatin County) the numbers are up at each school. The old saying "My son has to work on the farm" went out in 1977. I believe that Parnets, community support and coaching is what gets kids to play.

Do not count out Henry County. They Finally may win this year.

Yancey weighed in at 180 lbs and is 6'2. Sophomore Magness and Yancey are having a great battle at the QB position, which will make both better.

I was not at the playoff game between Gallatin and Trimble, but I am surprised to hear that they did not have much support. The game between Gallatin and Carroll was packed.

Good point, All American. Carroll may be on the rise this year. The 1st week vs Gallatin will be interesting. I plan to attend the game.
