I think Corbin has a nice team, but South Laurel has Steve Wright on the sideline and that = wins no matter who should win SLHS will find it's way back to Rupp in 2009.

I think you could be right, my guess is a small 1AA to alot of NAIA schools that love to throw it will give him a shot.

I think South Laurel is the team to beat the next 2 seasons with big Matt St. John in the middle.

I think Dean could be a 15-20 point scorer on this team, becouse they have to pick up some points by someone now that Wombles is gone.

I agree, but if it happens Bowling would have a outside chance to win Mr. football. This could be the best South Laurel team since 1999, so I feel like they make the playoffs, but a deep run will be tough.

I think Ricky Bowling and Zack Lewis could be in the hunt for Mr. football if either or both make a deep run in the playoffs, that would be great for mountain football.

I've been looking through the record books and Zack and Ricky should break most of Couch's records this season. Tim Couch had 12,167 passing yds, Lewis is 3rd in state history with 10,584, while Bowling is 8th with 8,952 passing yds. Couch leads the state in attemps as well with 1,375, Lewis is 5th in state history with 1,166 attemps, while Bowling is 8th in state history with 1,056 attemps. Tim Couch also leads in completions with 875 for 63.6%, Lewis is 3rd with 717 completions for 61.5%, while Bowling is 5th with 676 completions for 64%. Some Petry kid from Raceland completed 71.3% of his passes from 2000-2003 which is the state record. Couch leads the state in touchdown passes as well with 133 td passes, while Bowling is 14th in state history with 96 td passes, while Lewis is 27th with 78 td passes.

I think South Laurel will be much improved in 2008, coming off a 6-5 season they return 8starters on offence, also they have alot of team speed on what looks like a much improved defence.

It's going to be a great season in Southeastern Kentucky, you have Zack Lewis with a great chance to become the all-time leader in passing yards in state history, and you have Ricky Bowling with a chance to break the all-time state touchdown record which is 133 touchdown passes, Bowling currently has 96 touchdown passes going into his senior season.

In my opinion he could be a 1,000 yard rusher given the chance.

If you look at the numbers Ricky Bowling has to be the top returning QB in the state. Bowling has completed 676 passes on 1,056 attemps for 64%, Bowling has 8,952 passing yards, 96 tds, and only 29 ints the past three seasons.

I think Ricky Bowling out of South Laurel HS is one of the top QB's in the state. The past three seasons he has thrown 96 td's and only 29 int's, he needs 38 td's to break the state record which is held by Tim Couch.

Danville gets my vote as the team to watch.

Chris Muse out of Pulaski Co. is the best Dual-Threat QB I can think of and he's only a Junior

I agree his height may keep him out of division 1, but how do you figure his arm is below average, have you not seen the kid throw a out pattern.

I really feel like Bowling's go to guy will be Jake Cobb a 5-10 170lb senior.

Is Steven White going to be North Laurel's main back this fall, I've been hearing that around town?

I have seen Gilliam and I was impressed with that kid, another plus is Tom Larkey on the Black Bear sidelines that = wins

You'r right Corbin has the best backfield, Bell Co has the best back in Southeastern KY.

North Laurel is the team to beat, I've seen 11-16 teams in the tournament.
