Lafayette was absolutely terrible at the line. It's hard to believe they were still able to get this win shooting that bad.

I know when you win by 30 you shouldn't say this , but Scott County didn't really play that well tonight. I hope they step it up for the possible Franklin County matchup.

What a region!!! The region title in the 7th may be just as tough as winning a State title.

Wow, those are harsh words against Darius, I personally like the kid and think he will turn out to be a pretty good college player. Hopefully Hood will turn out to be a good one too.

All I was saying is this thread was made to talk about matchups and how the tourney might play out, it wasn't opened to be another thread to talk about the transfers at Scott County.

Okay , I'm sure Franklin plays great team ball but seriously I think the original poster is looking for guys that step it up when the game is on the line and I'm pretty certain every player that gets minutes for Franklin isn't that type of player. This is nothing against Franklin, I know they are a really good team, but that answer seems a little outrageous to me.

This thread isn't about transfers, it's about the 11th region draw. Scott County is the best team and it really doesn't matter why anymore. That being said this should be an exciting tourney, with matchups like Lex. Cath. vs. Henry Clay and possible matchups of Scott County vs. Franklin County, Lex. Cath. vs. Mad. Central, and possibly the biggest rivalry matchup in the state with Scott County vs. Lex. Cath. If you could only go watch one regional tourney this has to be the one to go to.

The 11th region in my opinion had the worst district blind draw with Dunbar, Tates Creek, and Lexington Catholic all battling for one regional spot while the two worst teams Lafayette and LCA played for the other spot.

Lex. Cath. is playing pretty well right now too though so obviously they also have a shot. Scott , Franklin, and Catholic all seem to be peaking right now though so give Scott County a small edge here in an insanely loaded 11th region tourney.

The refs didn't exactly call a good game for anyone tonight so let's not act like the Guyn play cost Henry Clay the game. This game wasn't as close as the final score indicated anyway, Scott County just got a little lazy late with a comfortable lead.

I think Holmes will be fine but throwing in that Holy Cross is a top 15 NKY team is silly. I mean being in the top 15 in NKY isn't a big deal.

From what I've seen , Russ Middleton gets the award.

Richie has been unstoppable in regional games, obviously Sanford has been a great player too but Phares is just too good.

Even with the recent upset it's hard to not pick Holmes here.

While those two teams in 06-07 were great I wouldn't say that there's never been a year when there weren't two great teams like that. The '99 team for Ballard and Scott County were absolutely incredible, both teams being nationally ranked. They basically only lost to each other, they weren't even on each others schedule and managed to meet each other 4 times that year in tournies with of course the biggest of all being meeting in the City of Palms title game which featured a 16 team field with 5 nationally ranked teams that didn't include Ballard being ranked at the time.

Campbell got a lot of open looks in this one early and just couldn't connect. After that though they just couldn't handle the pressure which I'm guessing they don't see a lot of against 9th and 10th region teams(the full court press that is). Also, Scott County is just starting to look like hands down the best team in the state and Manning didn't even dress tonight. The other freshman Ivey got the start and had a solid game.

I'm not gonna lie, although I do hate the blind draw, it's nice knowing that only one of those three teams will be in the regional tourney.
