11th Region Player of the Year?

Featured Replies

Who do you think gets the award? I think Richie Phares has to get the award, however Sanford will get strong consideration as well.

Phares and Sanford should be the favorites, but I think Charles Ashford has a good shot. If not for Bryan Stations late slip they have had in the season he would have an even better chance.

Charles Ashford- Bryan Station

Vee Sanford- Lexington Catholic

Richie Phares- Scott County

I think it comes down to these 3 with Phares taking the POY award

Richie Phares with Sanford a close 2nd.

Richie has been unstoppable in regional games, obviously Sanford has been a great player too but Phares is just too good.

Richie Phares from Scott County

I like Richie Phares from Scott County. I knew at the beginning of the year that he would lead that team. The Chad Jackson transfer was huge and without him I don't think they would be as good, but as a senior Richie is the leader. I wish him the best and I'm sure he will find the right fit for college.

All 3 players mentioned are very deserving no question. You couldn't go wrong with any of the 3. But I would take Phares. Hes been pretty dominant this year when I have watched him.

As far as the top 3 goes I would probably replace Ashford with Prince Stewart. He deserves credit for the season hes had.
