Grcfan4life Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Who do you think should be the 10th region player of the year?
mcraycraft Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 GRC - Robbie Stenzel Mason County - Russ Middleton Montgomery County - Brandon Rash
clarkcardinal1976 Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I think Russ Middleton will win the award. Robbie Stenzel hands down!!! He is an absolute stud!!!!
Tiger1 Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Robbie Stenzel hands down!!! He is an absolute stud!!!! Stenzel is a very good player, but let's see who wins the award....I still say Middleton.
isthatallyougot Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I think Robbie has proven he is the Player of The Year!:notworthy:
Tiger1 Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I think Robbie has proven he is the Player of The Year!:notworthy: And you didn't think Middleton has?
Your Daddy Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I watched Franklin County play all 3 schools mentioned above, and I would give the nod to Middleton as the best.
Good Better Best Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I would have to go with Hatton from Clark Co. He is a senior, great student and averaging around 17 ppg. Not to take anything away from Stezel he is a great player and will only get better. The other schools I am sure have great Student/Players as well. Middleton is great player as well as Rash. I have not seen many of the other schools. The 2 from Campbell County Albrieght and Knerl (pardon the spelling) are great players as well.
sacbunt Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Middleton hands down. Only seniors are eligible.
Eta Rho Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Middleton hands down. Only seniors are eligible. Not true. Juniors in the 9th have won it before. Unless it's different in the 10th, anyone can win it. I personally think it's a two horse race between Middleton and Hatton but if underclassmen are included, Stenzel has to be mentioned.
d-dawg Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Didn't even know they had such a thing as a regional player of the year. Did they have this in the 10th region last year? Do they have it in all regions. I don't remember it.:idunno:

I don't remember it.:idunno: It's usually voted on by all the coaches from each region and then at the end of the year the player selected as "Region POY" is honored at Rupp during I believe the first round of the sweet 16.
d-dawg Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Thanks, didn't know that.:taz: Is it just Jrs and Seniors?
gold sunrise Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Middleton hands down. Only seniors are eligible. Robert Hatton, a Senior, is also just as good and deserving. Didn't even know they had such a thing as a regional player of the year. Did they have this in the 10th region last year? Do they have it in all regions. I don't remember it.:idunno: Preston Knowles won it his senior year.
