Thanks. Trinity loses 19 starters, many of whom were 2 or 3 year starters: Its entire defense, 3 o-linemen, qb, rb and top 3 receivers so this game may not be pretty for the Green.

CF, How good is Elder going to be next year? I know they lost in the Finals this year? I understand they are throwing the ball more than they did in the early 2000's?

Ought to be a tough matchup for the Rocks, with all they are losing this year. I would love to play the Ohio schools around game 8 and not so early in the season.

You may want to look at Cincy X prior to their qb getting injured. They beat Prattville (AL), Cathedral (IN) and Don Bosco Prep (NJ). I believe Trinity is the only team to ever beat them when Massa started. You also may want to look at Louisville St. X's ranking prior to playing Trinity. Some gurus had them at 4th in the country. I think that would qualify as a "nationl level opponent."

Many who make that point often were unaware that Trinity had an excellent defense that year. Let me offer the following: Coming into the State Final Trinity was allowing only 6.14 points a game and had faced Andre Woodson at North Hardin, St. X and Elder, who went on to win Ohio's title. Male, and specifically Bush, was just that good.

Obviously you have not seen the 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 State Championship games. Just a hunch, but I think Trinity may find a way to be competitive at the Varsity level.

Well good. Based on your representations, it sounds like X should have far superior talent next year in the Senior and Junior classes. It's tough to lose when you have better talent in your Senior and Junior classes.
