5 Peat...

Is it possible, is it likely?

The Rocks have many MANY big shoes to fill. Is the talent there for another run at a title?

Is it possible, I suppose it is. I am just curious as to what my fellow Rocks think in this matter. I am not as close to the program as some and outside of a few names I am not sure who will be stepping up to fill the roles of some very VERY talented players.

Considering that 2008 was supposed to be X's year to win state and the Rocks pulled the upset and earned another title, I don't think it would be wise to EVER say that Trinity doesn't have the talent to make yet another run. They don't rebuild, they truly reload.

I think a lot of Trinity's talent will come from the sophmore class; therefore, they may struggle a little bit early in the season. Thomas, Nix and Kragthorpe opught to form a formidable triple threat. By playoff time, I'm sure they will be a well oiled machine. This will be Beatty/Cov's third year in a row with a 1st year starting quarterback. The past 2 have won state. We shall see.

It will either be a 5-peat for Trinity or a return to the title for St. Xavier. No other school in Louisville can touch either of those teams.

6A isn't just relegated to Louisville.

It just seems that way. It seems that Trinity has a magic wand and can come out on top no matter what the circumstances. I feel like sometimes they can play their freshman team and win the state championship.

Unless the KHSAA comes up with a 2 team class 7A, I would say there is a 50/50 chance of a 5-peat. St X has a 50/50 chance of unseating them. IMVHO...There is a 90/10 chance of either one of these two being king for the forseeable future.

Maybe Beatty will get bored with all this domination and move on to another challenge.

Sure they can 5-peat...heading into the season there's only one team (St. X) they have to worry about.

So, basically, instead of asking can they 5-peat...just ask, "Can they beat St. X next season?"

No doubt they'll have a chance to do that...

There's a 50/50 chance either way...;)

Yeah but NKY teams can at least be competitive with the other Lousiville 6A schools. They have no chance against T & X

Maybe Beatty will get bored with all this domination and move on to another challenge.
