Well good. Based on your representations, it sounds like X should have far superior talent next year in the Senior and Junior classes. It's tough to lose when you have better talent in your Senior and Junior classes.

I agree with this post. There's something special going on at Trinity right now and I will go ahead and predict that...

 

Trinity will win at least 9 of the next 10 large-school championships, period. I don't care how good their competition (i.e. Saint X or Male) is reported to be in a particular year, or whether one year is thought to be a bit of a "down" year for Trinity... it doesn't matter. By November of each year, when the playoffs roll around, it will all be over.

You've got to be kidding! Not get our hopes up? There's the difference. Trinity doesn't hope to get to the finals and be victorious.Trinity expects to be in the finals and win.

 

It's not just a single class thing. It's the addition and subtraction of all classes.

 

I understand a position coach at St. X had to explain why an underclassmen should play over a senior this past season to the head Tiger. It turned out to be the best move the Tigers made all year. You must earn the starting spot and be the best at your position at Trinity. Then you've got guys pushing you the rest of the season, trying to take that spot away. That's how football should work at any successful program.

I don't know how this next year's seniors got "pounded". At frosh level they lost 13-7 in a close game and they have gotten a whole lot better since then.

I don't know that using the Frosh and JV games is such a good gauge. X has had the broomsticks ready to break out for many of the recent years. It hasn't correlated to the title game. I'm thinking though that X has enjoyed more games for the Frosh and JV groups which is an anvantage in my book.

Yes, because it was a bunch of sophs against a bunch of juniors and they still clobbered them.

The Rocks are gonna be fine. They are loaded in the sophomore class and have enough pieces in the junior and senior class to make a nice mix. I believe Trinity won the JV and Frosh games this year. Not that winning those games means anything, but Im assuming, we'll do alright

Actually we lost 21-14 last year and this year won 14-7 on the JV level...You might want to get your facts straight.

That would put Trinity as the only other school besides Boyle County who has won 5 in a row. It is an awesome feat and I would welcome that feeling of dominance and accomplishment to everyone if I could.
