*Post directed solely for Trinity football supporters. I had the opportunity to watch all 6 State Finals this weekend. Of course, these are thought to be the 2 best teams from each class, with some exceptions. This was the first time in years that I was able to evaluate the level and quality of play at all 6 classes. Often we become disgruntled if the offense doesn't score every possession or the defense gives up too many yards or the kickoff isn't a touchback. Additionally, we only see 6A teams, an occasional 5A team and state powers from Ohio and Tennessee during the season. Accordingly, we become myopic on our team's perfromance as it relates to our competitors. After watching the best 2 teams from the other 5 classes play, we should never complain about the level of play at Trinity. Some teams couldn't even kick it to the 35 yard line. The long snaps looked like knuckleballs. The offenses were simplistic and the tackling was abhorrent. Penalty flags littered the field. Some schools couldn't throw the ball at all, let alone a 20 yard out. There were sloppy play and turnovers the whole weekend. Trinity is leaps and bounds above all of the teams I witnessed this weekend. I think that, just as in life, you often have to step away from your environment to appreciate how good you really have it. I encourage you all to watch a lower class game on replay (ICN 2) or next year during the bye week just to appreciate Trinity's effectiveness. A belated thanks goes out to all at Trinity who have gotten this program to a place were few in the Nation have ever been. :thumb:

Is this the largest margin of victory for a state title game? How about 41 points in a half? Is that a record? The Rocks were fantastic tonight! Great job men. Both teams were who we thought they were. Halftime 41-0. Trinity had 336 yards in the 1st half and SK got the ball first.

It truly does. Cincinatti St. X was national champs last year. Enjoy being tied for the most state titles for about 5 more hours.

Unless HHS' titles start counting as 2, I don't think the Rocks are worried about that. :lol:

You questioned "how the T supporters can honestly say that Trinity's kids work harder." Through 400 posts I can't find a T supporter bashing SK's work ethic. The converse is not true. Some are searching for something that is not there, or maybe it's threre...just in the mirror. :sssh:

Who said that the SK kids don't work hard? Who said that the SK kids don't want to win this game? Who said that the SK kids haven't put their heart and soul into this game? How about we stop with the generalizations?

coachTT, Have you spoken to any Trinity player this week? Have you watched a Trinity practice this week? Did you attend any of the weight training or conditioning sessions that began after the Finals last year? Spare me, and the fine young men at Trinity who have busted their tails for many years, your unfounded, irrational opinion of the desire of the men who walk the halls of Floersh.

It also means they're the two worst teams still playing in 6A.
