Fern Creek. Big. I hope it is Meade, but is looks as if Fern Creek is primed for a big year.

I am sad to report that Greg Lindsey passed away this morning @ 6:00am. Please keep his family, teammates and community in your prayers.

The other young man's name is Christian Dean Wallace, not Christopher. I visited with him last night and is doing well. Very sore, but he is dealing with the situation as well as can be expected. Greg's prognosis is not very good. The doctors are not giving the family much hope. Please keep both of these families in your prayers, particularly Greg Lindsey's family.

By all means, fire the staff for going 14-1. Good idea.

I also watched channel 25 out of Evansville and they talked to Mike Jackson and he said that he is still very interested, so who knows what is really going.

Channel 14 out of Evansville just reported that Clay Clevenger (Offensive Coordinator at Lincoln Co.) has been named the HC at Henderson.

The reason that the Evansville schools will not host the 2008 games is because the concept was devised by the Owensboro schools and is sponsored by Independence Bank in Owensboro. All of the Evansville schools will be paid for the participation both years.

I need to correct you on one thing, the site will NOT rotate to Indiana in 2008. It will stay in Owensboro. 2007 Match-ups: Friday @ KWC (Steele Stadium) Apollo Vs. These comments (below) come from Mike Fields' article in the Lexington Herald-Leader this morning. Same old thing in Kentucky, basketball coaches want it all. They are getting threatened by the rise in popularity of football in our state and the decline of basketball. While it would appear to be a good thing to have guys playing both sports, Male Coach Tom Crews isn't sold on the idea. He'd prefer his basketball players hoop it up year-round. "How could it be a good thing to take five months off from basketball?" he asked. "There are always exceptions, like Beaumont. He's a phenomenal athlete. But even in his case, how much better would he be in basketball if he worked on it 12 months a year?" The KHSAA will alter the football calendar next school year, starting and finishing a week later. Crews said the change will discourage kids from playing both sports. "The KHSAA is crazy for doing it, and football is shooting itself in the foot," Crews said.

Their enrollment is around 950 according to the KHSAA website, that would make them one of the largest 3A schools.

They may say that is the reason, but the truth of it is, this is a knee jerk reaction to the split of public\private. It put T & X in the same bracket to try and sqaush some of the groud swell that was rising when the board of control and state board of ed. over turned the vote.

I have a feeling that patriotj might just be Madison Central fan trying to stir up some Indian emotion.

Breck Co. has never had a football program. They have fielded teams over the last 30+ years and some of them were pretty competitive, but they have never had a program. MACDON got it right when he said the unless you are basketball in Breck Co. you don't matter. It is a shame for the kids in that community to be treated that way. Their facilities are pathetic and the support is worse (except from the parents). The administration needs to make a decision about the future of their football teams.

It will not be played at Reid Stadium, it will be played at RASH Stadium (OHS) at 6:00 unless the weather forces another postponement. If that happens it will probably be played Sunday.

I agree also. This is ridiciulous. This sounds like Ray Graham being stubborn. He is putting an awful lot of kids at risk by making them have to play this game needlessly. Catholic wanted to end the game, but Coach Graham wouldn't agree to it. Bad move by Ray Graham and bad example of leadership.

According to reports out of Henderson by WSON radio, Tom Duffy has resigned his position as an assistant coach at Henderson Co. High School. It will take effect at the end of the season. No details were released about his resignation.
