Was not picking on Trinity. I (and everyone else) knew this was not going to be a ballgame and said if we hold it to under 80 I would consider that a moral victory. Whatever was said to warrant a unsportsmanlike penalty when a fellow competitor is down on the field was classless in my opinion and I thought they threw the ball way too much with a huge lead. As was pointed out in another post, "T" probably would have scored just running the ball too. I guess I didn't know that Trinity was so special this year that to speed the clock up you guys throw the ball. What do you do in your 2 minute offense, line up in victory formation? In all seriousness, Trinity is an amazing talented team and should have no problem with their 21st State title. It would do the state of Kentucky proud if the National title was also obtained. Run every single play...no. Run on A play...yes. How about the unsportsmanlike conduct after 1 of the best blocks (and legal) that I have ever seen in person? How much class does that show? ABSOLUTELY NONE!!!

Still throwing the ball up 50 is not impressive...shows me something else.

I don't think Scott Co. has a chance to even score. It is premature, but from what I have seen and read T has just TOO much. Scott Co. brings it and will hit you. They play hard and fast. The QB has very good play fakes and their "O" is deceptive. A lot of mis-direction...ALOT!! Even with all that was just said...T seems to be on a different level.

He finally got into the game in the 4th quarter Friday night and got a standing ovation from the SK crowd. Senior night festivities he said the most memorable moment was putting on pads for the final 2 games this year...if that don't make you love what high school football is truely about then an attitude adjustment is seriously in order!!!!

31 yd line. made it a 41 yd. FG. Lined up in kickoff formation for the free kick. I am really at a loss for words when your Coach throws in the towel like that on your Offense.

Not sure of Scott Co. schedule, but heard it hasn't been too tough yet. SK might make it interesting with their D, but expect Scott Co. to end up with the "W" if what they do is run. If they throw alot, it could get ugly.

I said I was not impressed because even SK's offense can make a 3 minute video look like they are impressive. Off tackle running is SK's strong point on D. 30 looks shifty and might gain a few yards. 45 looks huge but I think he won't do much. This is all predicated on Jared Bowling being able to go at LB. He might miss the game which puts the load on Tate Huesman. He will have to have roughly 20 tackles for them to shut the running game down. Those 2 together at LBs have been surprisingly effective.

Just to have D1 looks is impressive. Goose and his Dad are good people and I wish nothing but the best for him. I hope he makes the right decision though. Some kids have made the wrong ones just because it's "D1" and sat the bench and watched when the experience could have been alot more rewarding going smaller and playing from the start.

It is at Ironton and I for one am looking forward to this road trip. Pretty neat seeing places like that. Heard the stadium is a relic too!

Really??? You have 5 seniors on the squad that have DII or NAIA schools looking at them to further there education and keep playing a sport they love and you are worried about what happens next year??? They can work on next year from Jan. 2nd when they start work outs and agilities til the dead period! Sounds like you might be a fan of the winning, not of the program!

I was playing against LLoyd my sophmore year at SK when they ran the Hook and Ladder right in front of me, but the RB dropped the ball on the pitch. When he picked the ball up I was right there to tackle him. That's when Red Dog came flying down the sideline yelling at the RB that if he had hands he would have himself a TD. I said something to the effect of "There was no way he was getting by me, Old Man!" That following winter he was named the head coach at SK. After he addressed the team for the first time, we had a little meet and greet line to introduce ourselves to him. As I shook his hand he looked me dead in the eye and said "I know who you are!" The "Old Man" had quite the memory.

I was talking to Marksberry the other day and he confirmed that all the D1's that were recruiting Miles were after him as a RB. Congrats to the kid, I think he made a heck of a choice. It's going to be fun to watch him go up against the speed of the SEC. EVERYONE IN THE PIONEER NATION IS PROUD OF YOU MILES!!:notworthy:

Yes, his son Jacob plays for them, but against Highlands he sat out with a bum knee. He wouldn't of been a factor like he has been, because he's not seeing much floor time for the freshman coach.

Huesman won't be playing tonight. He's been having issues with his knee and the trainer told him to take it easy for the next few days. Don't think he would of been much of a factor anyway "Q", he hasn't been seing much of the floor for some reason.

I beleive the final was 39-32 CovCath. SK was ahead by 2 with the ball when their coach was hit with a "T" that swung momentum. #13 is Geoffrey Johnson and he did play a very solid game, but SK was something like 4 for 17 from the free throw line which they have had issues with all year. That and lay-ups/bunnies!

It is Yanke and he has developed tremendously since last year! Got a feeling if the kid keeps putting in the time, he's going to help that loaded Freshman class out alot!

I really enjoyed it and have a copy myself, but yes, I do agree the writing was lacking. Some of the references to Greg Ponzer being the enforcer on the team and some of the things he did cracked me up!
