The Birds are on a 4 game winning streak (10-5) and playing very well with big wins over NCC/Boone Co/Campbell Co and Ryle. I know SK has moved up 3-4 Frosh to JV/Varsity namely Bowling/Swanson/Sampson/Ayers.

 

I know they still have a very nice ballclub with Racke in the middle and Barnes/Huesman being the deep ball threats.

 

This should be a very good game played out at SK today at 4:30pm.

Should be a great game! I agree with everything you said in your post, but Geoffery Johnson (sp?) is an outstanding basketball player and plays as hard as anyone in the area. Highlands size will be tough for SK to handle, but SK's team speed should keep this one interesting. Best of luck to both.

Geoff has really stepped into the role as leader for the freshman team. I watched their last game out and they were without Yanke. Any reason why?

Doctor appointment for his back, but seems better now from what I understand.

Yanke and Racke are no match for big Nick True. SK had better hope that they can apply enough pressure to the HHS guards to turn the ball over before Nick gets it on the block. Nick may be second to Nick Jackson at Scott on the post and he's young.

Birds break the press very well so that may not be in their best interest. They have several kids that run the floor very well in Witte, Turner, Collinsworth, McCoy. If you get caught in the backcourt its over and a layup.

 

Birds will need to defend the goal with True on the block and cover the 3pt shooters IMO. They match up everywhere else on the floor.

Huesman won't be playing tonight. He's been having issues with his knee and the trainer told him to take it easy for the next few days. Don't think he would of been much of a factor anyway "Q", he hasn't been seing much of the floor for some reason.
