I have been receiving calls and email from dozens of people during the past two days. It is hard to know what to say or write about Mitch. There are just so many good things you can say about him, so I wanted to write just a few. Mitch was a genuine, kind and respectful young man. Mitch cared about Brossart, Mitch cared about kids, Mitch cared about NKU. Mitch proud to have earned his degree at NKU and he helped to get me involved in volunteering in the Construction Management Dept. He was one of the few people I know that everyone liked. When we saw Mitch out at Barleycorns kids and adults flocked to him. He had a way of making everyone around him feel good. I am really going to miss Mitch. He was such a giver. He always gave hope and confidence to his players. He gave his time and talents to help others and he was always quick to give everyony around him a big smile or a good laugh. May God bless his family and friends during this difficult time.

Terrible news. What a fine young man. I really cannot believe this. The kids at St. Mary are going to be devistated. Mitch was such a role model to the boys coming up at St. Mary and St. Joe. All of the kids loved Mitch.

Some look too much at scoring. Some do not. In the 37th district tournament, Nicloe Ridder made the all tournament team with a total of 4 point in the tournament. What she did do, was guard Peters the first night and Tibbs the second night. She worked extreemely hard and made both of these big, strong players earn every one of their points. She definately belonged on the all tournay team!

NCC balance is what makes them such a fine team. They have 5-6 players that can score double figures on any given night. Congrats to Brittany, she works as hard as any player in the region!

Ryle is a fine team, but I have to go with the Lady Breds in a close one.

You make some great points. Ammerman is definately the key to Notre Dame's success. Voskuhl is improving in every game. I like the David vs Goliath angle to this game. VMA is a small program that has had a lot of recent success. Notre Dame is always good and this season they have played better than a lot of people expected (me included) after loosing all of last year's strong seniors. Both programs are first class, it is hard to root against either of them.

Lauren played mostly for Cutter Hoopsters. I think last season she also played with another Cincy team. I have seen her play against some of the best AAU competition in KY & Ohio, she, IMO is a good as advertised.

Wow! You can really see how big Lauren Tibbs is in this picture. Hats off to the Lady Stangs especially Nicloe Ridder for battling lauren all night.

Is is possible, but IMO very unlikely. Tibbs is very good. They will need other players to contribute more than they have thus far this season if Scott wants to win this tournament.

Tibbs is the best post player I have seen this year. Sanker is able to take over a game with speed, defense, ball handling and can score in bunches when hot. When she plays well, Brossart is a tuff draw.

I am not a big fan of knocking coaches. The kids have to execute on the court. Craven did not miss any shots or have any turnovers. The better team won.

Go Villa! Congrats to Morgan. Wish I could be there for the final, should be a great game vs. St. Henry.

Fryer is a talented, strong player. She is unselfish and very versitle. (spelling) she can play a 1,2, 3 or 4. No one works harder! go Breds!

Good depht will always help a team, that being said, HHS roster IMO was clearly one of the most talented in the region. I have seen Highlands play many times and the next five off of their bench could beat all but the elete teams in Northern KY. For what ever reason they just have struggled in big games. Good luck to HHS seniors, good group of girls. Towles and Allen should land somewhere and keep playing.

I really did not see any obvious major coaching mistakes by CCHS. Brossart just executed a pretty good game plan and out-played Campbell. I would have tried to get Peters more touches in the second half, but Ridder did a nice job of fronting her and made several key steals against a very good player. If Brossart stays out of foul trouble, and that is a big if, based on this season, I like thie chances of beating Scott. Kidney & Uthe will also have to play a little better than they did vs. Campbell.

Sanker was a beast with 31 points for BBHS. Peters for CCHS with 27 in her final game. Very fine player and always shows great sportsmanship.

Any one of the big 4 can win it. Ryle is clicking and so is Boone. Highlands has the talent to beat anyone. NCC plays great d. It is anyone's title to win. My heart says NCC my brain says Boone. Should be fun to watch!

way to go Chelsea! You are a great player and a fine young lady. your basketball fundamentals are so strong, I think you will be a super coach if you decide to pursue it. We will be rooting for the Blue Lightning.

We wish Karli the best. we have had two go down at Brossart with season ending Knee injuries. My duughter had the opportunity of playing with Karli during a few AAU seasons. She is one of the best pure point guards we have seen. I think she is going into the military to serve our country. We wish her great success in the future.

Very nice by Dixie! Carley Rader was hurt in the Brossart game,any news? Rader is a very good point guard, she does not get a lot of pub, but a very good player. We hope she is ok.
