I don't think Maddox will be playing this year. But I too have heard stories of two transfers from NY. With or without these two newcomers, Seneca will be very very competitive in the 7th.

Chris Harrison is attending Trinity

He can't play for J-Town till second semester starts next year. He isn't allowed to practice with the team till then either per KHSAA transfer rules.

Is Cosby going the prep route his senior year?

Who is paying for him to go to this prep school?

I think Kimbro and Jenkins both will return to Manual next year. I also think the Crimsons will win the region next season led by these two top players along with Samsel, Nikolic, and Harold Calhoun.

Some of the incoming freshman names I've heard but never saw play are Chris Harrison, Desmond Dorsey, Andre Gray, Daniel Ross, Kenny Holmes, Jordan Clay. Any info on any of these players or others?

Someone help me out. Who are some of the better incoming freshmen in the 7th region this year? I know of Desmond Dorsey, who are some of the others?

There are some really talented Juniors in the 7th Region next year several will be D1 or D2caliber by the time they graduate. Of the players returning, that dressed varsity last year. I would think that they would start: Remy Able So. Delquan Thomas Jr. Chris Dowell Sr. Lyonell Gaines Sr. Roderick Millner Sr. Ken Parker Sr. and Jon Davis So. dressed varsity last year. They also had the best freshman team in the 7th region last season, and have some very nice freshman coming in this year. One being Chris Harrison from Crosby.

Black 10, in your opinion who is the better player Dorsey or Gray for the Ville?

Who were some of the other top teams and players at this event?

From my observation at the try-out I didn't think Henderson, Slone, or Edmondson had great try-outs. so I think the last 2 spots came down to these three players and Slone is going to KY and Henderson is a possible walk-on to KY. If I were selecting the team, I would have picked Kimberland from Adair over any of these three players. Maybe their thinking was Slone is a pure shooter and Henderson is a lock down defender.

I thought Desmond Johnson played very well, He might have tailed of a little in the last session, but he proved very athletic and effective around the basket. He has long arms and runs the floor well. Also very strong.

After watching the try-outs, and the offense they plan to utilize my starting five would be and others would be.... Shelvin Mack - Bryan Station Tyler Brown - Apollo Scotty Hopson - UHA Darius Miller - Mason Co. Victor Moses - Henry Clay Tyshawn Edmondson - UHA Michael Sparks - Tates Creek Taylor Stewart- Taylor Stewart Corey Sorrell - Cov. Holy Cross Desmond Johnson - Cumberland Co. Aaron Morris - Madison Central Arrez Henderson - Holmes Nick Brumback - Jackson Co. (Alt) Kalen Kimberland - Adair Co. (Alt.) I know there are some popular names left off this list, but these are the players I thought had the best try-out other than Hopson and Miller. The other kids trying out were told that those two were already on the team. Just my opinion, the last four spots could have gone to any of about 12 kids. I don't envy the coaches having to make the final decision on the last four kids.

I think Tyler Brown from Apollo was more impressive than Edmondson or Sloan during the tryouts.

Brian Gunter (St.X) - was injured much of last year, good hops, nice post moves, gives Klein legit post player. Melvin Little (Trinity) - may be best player on Rocks team, even better than Sowell, definitely most consistent. Keisten Jones (Ballard) - very athletic, jumps out of the gym, needs to develop perimeter skills. Martez Harris (Seneca)- nice player, can shoot the three and has quick first step. I think Seneca will be the sleeper team of the 7th Region. Thomas Blakemore (Butler) -nice shooter, wants the ball when game on the line, will take over McAfee's role for the Bears Corey Jackson (Shawnee) - very deceptive quickness, shoots three, and can use dribble to attack. Adam Kelty (Bullitt East) - excellent shooter, does nice job of running team,
