Who are the Dark horse players of Metro Louisville for 08'/09' season

Featured Replies

What little known players from metro Louisville will become contributors to their team in 08'/09'? Any unknown players to keep an eye on for next year?

Some that I know of are:

Markel Carter (St. X)

Lopez (CAL)

Daniel Corbett (Trinity)

Aleks Nikolic - Manual

Antonio Bryant-Iroquois

Aleks Nikolic - Manual

Antonio Bryant-Iroquois

Nickolic - Is he the big kid from over seas?

Speaking of Manual they have the Samsel kid to I think. I believe I saw him light it up in the LIT against Jeffesontown. He might be a star next year in the 7th for Manual. I think he is a sophomore.

Does anyone know if Nickolic is playing on an AAU team? I would like to see him play.

If he is good, does this make Manual a contender next year in the 7th region playing along side of Jenkins and Kimbro?

Nikolic is from overseas and is 6-10. He plays for Louisville based AAU team Team Loyalty.

I think we'll be hearing alot from these guys:

Wyatt Gray (ST X) - played alot as a soph

Sean Samsel (Manual) - good shooter, I think benefits if Jenkins stays

Thornsberry (Desales) - had some big games as a soph

Chris Dowd (Eastern) - very good athlete

Collin Lopez (CAL) - been watching this kid since he was an 8th grader, can fill it up and will be a big time scorer

Tim Henderson (CAL) - very athletic and very hard to stop going to the basket

Antonio Bryant (Iroquois) - I've only seen him once, but was impressed

Brian Gunter (St.X) - was injured much of last year, good hops, nice post moves, gives Klein legit post player.

Melvin Little (Trinity) - may be best player on Rocks team, even better than Sowell, definitely most consistent.

Keisten Jones (Ballard) - very athletic, jumps out of the gym, needs to develop perimeter skills.

Martez Harris (Seneca)- nice player, can shoot the three and has quick first step. I think Seneca will be the sleeper team of the 7th Region.

Thomas Blakemore (Butler) -nice shooter, wants the ball when game on the line, will take over McAfee's role for the Bears

Corey Jackson (Shawnee) - very deceptive quickness, shoots three, and can use dribble to attack.

Adam Kelty (Bullitt East) - excellent shooter, does nice job of running team,

Forgot about Little and Blakemore....both will be big factors with their respective teams.....

After watching Samsel play in the summer league, he is much more than just a good shooter. I was impressed with his court awareness and point guard skills. I bet he had a double/double in the game I watched. Very accurate passer of the rock along with very good handles. Look to here more from this kid.

Agree on Corbett. Has always played hard and is a very intelligent player.

Needs to get stronger

Agree, but is also a quick player.
