Well, saw CAL beat LC last night....guess that people are on to something.

Anyone seen South play at all yet? I know they lost alot and I haven't had a chance to see them yet. Also, I saw a few people were picking CAL over Desales. Thought that was a little surprising as well.

Just read on kentuckypreps that Colin Lopez Committed to Centre. Congratulations and it's great to see the smaller schools players rewarded.

Such a tough region. Some pretty good players left off.

Is Henderson playing?

Anyone know if he will play in District Tourney? Also heard someone else is hurt too, but don't know who that is....

7th by far...not even close. 11th ranked team in the 7th region would be #1 in 4 other regions.

Henderson and Lopez are both great players. Nothing should be taken away from either of them. I have been told that both kids will play college. Best to both. I've seen about 4 games this year, and CAL has their best team in years. Just another example of how tough the 7th region is this year.

Heard alot of good things about him. Where is he going? Who is recruiting him?

I like CAL here. I agree their ability to stop big kid will be the key.

What is going on with Samsel's injury?

I saw Rieger play a year ago. Good player. Anyone know if he is being recruited?

also no Colin Lopez.......have to think that if some of these guys played out in the state and not in the 7th region, they would get more recognition.

No Taylor Epley (Lou Trinity), No Reginald Breeden......should be there.

Everything I keep hearing is that South is going to be a huge factor over the next few years....

I agree....would add James Pillaschafske and Colin Lopez to that list.

Who will be the surprise teams in the 8th Region this year?

I saw him for the first time against Central this weekend and he is the real deal. The Fant kid is good too, but I think Behanan is better away from the basket. Both are big time.

Eastern is definitely the team to beat. Especially when they get the big football player back. I was impressed with CAL. I watched the Warren Central game and the PRP game and CAL very well could have ended up in the final four. I was also impressed with Henderson. He is really athletic. I was also impressed the Colin Lopez. He also played well against WC and PRP really had trouble keeping him in front. He seems to do alot of things for them....just a very good basketball player. CAL also had some other players I don't know. Very quick point guard. How deep is the 7th region????? Some other players I was impressed with....Samsel from Manual, played very well the game I saw. Can really handle the ball.... Maddox from Seneca....doesn't seem to get alot of attention, but he looked very good to me. Everyone from Eastern...they are loaded. Ballard looks very good as well....very athletic. For what it's worth...I wish more teams from the 8th would play in this (like South Oldham) so we can see how they compare against teams from the 7th.

Scott County won 17s. Guyn is as good as advertised. Best game of tournament was in first round of tournament when Scott beat Higher Level Basketball Black in double OT. Guyn was the difference but HLB could have won imo. Scott co. had hard time with Harrison kid (Moore I think) and kid from CAL (Lopez) hit a big three to go to overtime and another 2 to send it to Double OT. Great game to watch.

Sounds to me like all those scholarship rumors were just that...rumors. Watching the 7th region tournament, he was the fourth best player on his team. And he certainly didn't like Morrow sitting him down for long stretches at a time.
