Crazy game just ended. Sean Samsel 6'0" senior from Louisville Manual scored 55points and only played half of the game! He nailed 15 three pointers.

Sounds like good a good defensive game.

Where is this camp?

This is the Rick Bolus camp at Georgetown College.

I've heard he's been doing this all summer.

This was at Georgetown's high school team camp from Demling blog:

He is starting to generate alot of interest. I heard Georgetown's head coach Happy Osborne talked with Sean after the Georgetown team camp. He is on their radar screen. I heard Mid-Continent coached by Winston Bennett is recruiting him pretty hard.

When is the next camp if this is session 1?

I believe one game a day the teams play 2-3 zone. Does anyone know if this was during the zone game? Anytime you score that many points thats a great accomplishment.

Yes all night games are 2-3 zone games.

Day games are man 2 man games.

Still 15-3 pointers is quite an accomplishment.

Someone told me he is averaging 43pts per game after 5 games. Is this true?

How many threes did he attempt to hit 15?

Im not sure who keeps track of how many points someone scores during a game at BC camp, but he is filling it up this week. The game was during the afternoon and it was a man defense. There are a lot of kentucky boys here this week and most of them are having a good week.

Who are some of the other KY kids that are doing well?

Conner Jeffries of Henry County, B.J. Moore of Sheldon Clark is having a really solid week, Phil Barner of Mason County. Just to name a couple that I noticed tonight.

I had the opportunity to see this evening's game featuring the Samsel kid from Manual against the Barber kid from Scott County. These two lit up the gym with both scoring over 40 points each against the zone D. Samsel drained a bushel of threes while the Barber kid hit threes, pull up twos and several put backs. I didn't keep track but Barber must've had 20 or more rebounds and a dozen assists. The best part was watching both kids go at each other hard, laughing, egging each other on and having a blast playing a game. This was a great show. :thumb:
