With the onset of the new school year, it is truly amazing that this thread has generated such little interest. I'm not sure why this is the case, since around the 8th region there has much buzz and anticipation regarding newly enrolled students at North Oldham. So the lack of activity on this thread is hard to explain.

To be honest, South Oldham has the outstanding incoming freshmen class in the 8th region. I think they won about 32 games, including the championship in their division at Georgetown's camp. I think the "new addition" probably neutralizes things a bit.

He's a real good player, but there will be a learning curve in a new program. He's a year or two away.

Everything I keep hearing is that South is going to be a huge factor over the next few years....

Im hearing that coaches are dropping North off their schedule......seems a few of them are upset over the "transfers" and just how they got there.....

There's only one transfer, and my sources in both Goshen and Shelbyville indicate this is much ado about nothing...

Actually Colonel Mike , there are 2 transfers at the present.. famous on from Shelby, and another from a Jefferson Co. school....stay tuned for updates

I heard Shelby had already dropped them and many others were considering.....

Their coach has done an outstanding job of building a program. North is becoming the basketball school of the county.

I'm always the last to know...but my sources tell me your information is mistaken. There WAS a kid who made overtures to North because he was unhappy with his PT at a certain Jefferson County school, but nothing came of it...

I really do not know why everyone thinks north is really that great? They have some nice players, but they cannot win big games. Sure they do win 20 games a year, but when they play good teams they usually lose. Oldham may not win the district this year, but Holland has more kids out for basketball than have been out in a while at Oldham County. Looks to be a interesting year in the 29th.

North has 2 new transfers, one from Shelby Co and one from Eastern.

Actually Hicks isn't a high school transfer. He has never been to any other high school since he is a freshman.

Who's the kid from Eastern? I heard rumors of a kid from Ballard, but it didn't happen.
