  1. Iroquois High School had 2 players that should be mentioned Anthony Johnson and Deshawn "Moonie" Bowman
  2. District winner and District runner-up goes into opposite bracket in the regionals.
  3. 25th Male vs Manual 26th Moore vs Atherton 27th Ballard vs Trinity 28th Eastern vs Ballard
  4. Manual has a hugh game tonight at Male then has to travel 2 hours to play a 9:00 pm game against the host school in their gym. I think Montgomery has a real shot at winning. That being said, I think the Crimsons will pull out a close win. 72-68
  5. Those bench players you are referring to passtheball sparked a comeback that got the team back to within 2 points. The second team played with more energy than the first group therefore the coach rewarded their effort. As for your comment about being allowed back in the tournament, I know coach Just always plays to win and I think the Crimsons represented itself quite well considering they were without one of the top players in the state.

  7. Great experience and it looks like Manual would still be undefeated if you add one player to their lineup. Jenkins back on Friday.
  8. Manual deserves credit. The players that took the court played hard for both teams. No matter how its debated when the Crimson's get one of the state's top 2 players back in Jenkins they will be a much improved team and this game does not go to overtime.
  9. The game went to overtime and Jenkins did not play. Had the #2 player in Kentucky played this game would have went the other way. The game was not decided until an intentional foul was called on the Crimson with less than a minute to go in OT. Manual continues to improve.
  10. Jenkins is cleared to play Friday against Adair in Lexington.
  11. No one player in Kentucky had a more accomplished spring and summer than Jacob Jenkins. He also helped Manual reach heights last season not seen for 50 years. He's matured and has become one of the best court leaders in the state and has rounded out his game to become a complete player. There's not many teams in the entire state that if you add Jenkins you're not a regional contender. Saying that, I would put Jenkins along with Samsel is one of the top five backcourts in the state.

  13. That would be an incorrect statement. Hood is the leader and has been proving it on the court this season and a great talent. The other player some could see challenging Hood is Jacob Jenkins of Manual who has been sidelined. The voting does not occur until after the Sweet 16 this year so Jenkins still has plenty of time to prove his case. Those are the two coaches see 1 and 2 in this year's race.

  15. Samsel and Jenkins were out due to injury. Bond was sick.
  16. Manual was short 3 players tonight Jacob Jennkins, Sean Samsel and Phillip Bond. Jenkins and Samsel are Manuals top two players and Bond has been giving them quality minutes off the bench. Last nights game was a real struggle but they found a way to win despite getting killed on the boards. They must of got out rebounded close to 3 to 1. I don't know how long these players will be out but the other players better step their games up or it could be a long night Friday at Trinity. I think most teams would struggle if missing their top two players. Give Western credit they played extremely hard and nearly pulled off the upset.
  17. 7- Eastern 5- Bardstown 3- J-town 2- Fairdale 1- Manual Tie breaker: J-town
  18. Jenkins has the talent to score 30 or 40 on any given night. He's really worked hard to round his game out and Manual needs him to be a leader to go far. Last night Jenkins did everything he needed to get us a win against a very good North Hardin team. I believe NH will only improve from here and Greg Johnson will be a tremendous player. It may take some time to get Johnson acclimated with the game again after being out for a season, but I'm positive he will be a force as the season moves forward as will NH.

  20. Jenkins was the unanimous selection in both coaches' polls as the #2 player in the state and his spring and summer play was proof of it. Somehow he managed to earn first place votes points against one of the most PR'd players in recented history. Jenkins and Hood are in every major event together in Kentucky this season and there is a reason for that.
  21. This statement is true. Coaches are still looking at what combination of players will work. Adding or maintaining the lead in yesterday's game was not the objective as seeing what other players and lineups could do was. That is what practice or scrimmage games are there for and you're only allowed two of them.
  22. SpeedyGonzales, Manual and North Hardin play December 2nd at Manual 7:30PM
  23. Rite Said Fred, Those games are going to be played on November 29th @ Sheldon Clark High School in the Fast Lane Classic. Sheldon Clark is located in Inez Ky.
