I must of saw a different game, although I was there. The Indians pulled their starters just after the Royals, or so I thought.:idunno: I wouldn't clean my house for guest for the next 2 years just yet.:puke: -
Passes to District Tournament

Nice, I also knew how many passes where handed out, but that doesn't mean that's were the passes went. I know of one middle school student that had a Bus Driver pass.:sssh: -

Not going to climb on any in Brooksville, Coaches don't seem to be around long enough for a monkey to get aboard. -

Texas Team "Ashamed" With 100-0 Victory
livewire replied to Wireman's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
 What should be remembered about any team is not whether than won or lost, but how they played the game. Any blowout game can be played with dignity and fellowship. If all a coach ever teaches our kids is the game of basketball and that winning is everything, they have done our children a great disservice. You should always win, lose or draw with class and a good coach knows how to teach that as well. JMO -

Brossart has sort of become the POWERHOUSE of the 10th All A. Don't think people disrespect Brossart, it's just exciting when an underdog beats a powerhouse. Brossart has always represented the 10th well and has always appeared to be a 1st class act. Good luck to whoever represents the 10th this year.:thumb: -
Sure didn't happen the way everyone thought did it.

Sounds like Brossart fans should go ahead and rent their rooms. I agree they're the favorites, but I've seen stranger things happen.

Bracken has times when they really look good and then times when they don't look so good. Hope that get it all together, there's some potential there to be pretty good.:thumb: -

Not sure what the final score was, but Bracken won by 3, after having a 25 pt. lead in the fourth quarter. -
What is wrong with Bracken County
livewire replied to sportsreporter2008's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
The big issue with Coach Breeze's hiring was that many felt there was no loyalty to the coaches in the county and already in the coaching system at Bracken County. I don't know what the answer is and I for one am glad I'm not the one making the decisions, but I also feel the one's making the decisions are not necessarily the correct ones for that job either. Heard there was a meeting today and Coach Doyle is no longer the Freshman Coach, not sure what that will accomplish, but I'm not sure anyone else does either. Hope things get turned around and they start playing as a team and leave all the jealously and resentment out of it. JMO -

Bracken has some pretty decent talent, just not putting it together as a team. Don't look for much improvement this year, unless some hard decisions are made, and I don't see that happening. -

I think it's going to be a really long season for the Polar Bears:cry: Don't know of many successful teams with no set offense and that plays pretty much no defensive. It looks to be just HELTER SKELTER. -

Don't remember seeing any defense played! LOL -
I don't think anyone is bashing the new coach. It appears the problem everyone has is the way the decisions are made by the admin. and the loyalty to existing coaches in the school system.

National Federation of High Schools rules disqualify a player if he "leaves the confines of the bench during a fight or when a fight may break out." You can be assessed a technical for stepping onto the floor when not in the game. If you step onto the floor during a fight or when a fight may break out isn't it an automatic ejection and a technical foul? During the game I felt that was the call, he stepped onto the floor, but wasn't going anywhere to fight, so only a technical was assessed. -
Bracken County Coach for 08-09?
livewire replied to All In's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
Not sure that a coaching change will make allot of difference at this time. The problem with the program goes much deeper and higher, IMO. I think the AD has too many ties to the county to make good decisions for the sports department. What is needed is a AD without ties to the county and that has a passion for sports. JMO
