mcpapa Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Is this the first time that CC has won the All-A regional? Either way, congratulations!
ShootingGuard20 Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Nice win for Calvary.:thumb: Represent the 10th well :dancingpa
All In Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Is this the first time that CC has won the All-A regional? Either way, congratulations! Congratulations on a very underrated CC team, Deming may or may not ever get this chance again, lost golden opportunity tonight. Brossart is always good and just reloads and will be hard to knock off again when it counts.
StepYoGameUp Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Congrats to Calvary. Represent the 10th well in Richmond. Tough loss for the Black Devils. Free throws win ballgames and they couldnt hit them down the stretch. Flannigan (sp) should be getting some looks from the smaller schools. He is a very smooth player.

Maybe the poor free throw shooting can be contributed to the starters going the whole way against Brossart. Tired legs you think.
Billy Clyde Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 First of all congrats to CC. A very hard working team that got the job done. Good Luck in Richmond. To the Devils keep your head up high. You have made the people of Robertson Co. proud and will continue to do so. Remember there is plenty of basketball to be played. Put this behind you and get ready for the postseason. There is no doubt that you can be District Champs. What doesn't kill you only make you stronger, and the experience of this past week will help you down the road.

While I won't get into specifics, I do think that the knockdown-dragout with Brossart just 24 hours prior may have "loosened" the Black Devils up a bit for Calvary Christian. This was a classic battle of two blue-chip ballplayers, both trying to carry their teams on their shoulders to Richmond. Joe Flanagan played the most inspired game that I have witnessed him play in the past four years that we have watched him compete, and Kyle King tried to duplicate his efforts of the night before, but seemed to tire down the stretch. These are both fine basketball players who earned a lot of respect from those in attendance tonight at Nicholas County High School. Both players scored 28 points.
inthesuite Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Congrats to CC, I hope they represent the 10th region well next week.
mcpapa Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 On a side note, I have never been to the Nicholas County gym. What's it like? I thought about driving over tonight, but took the family to Morehead late this afternoon and got back too late.

GandW4life Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Congrats to Calvary Christian... Represent the 10th well!
