They add the next smallest in the state not the region.Some regions have as few as 4 teams while some have 10 or 12. The 8th region had 8 teams this year. It makes it a lot tougher to get out when you have to win 3 tough games.

The class a tourney is open to the 125 schools grades 9-12 with the lowest enrollment. If a school chooses not to play in the tourney then number 126 is invited and so on. Henry County got back in this year even though they were not in the original 125 if I am not mistaken. The old method used the 425 students in the top 3 grades.

The head coach should have total control of the program. Check the top notch programs in the state and you will find the head coach in charge from the elementary school on up.

I bet PC voted against seeding.

Sounds like a great atmosphere, the way every game should be. Does your band show up for every game or just a few select games? For some reason, I thought the Grant Co. fans sat on the side opposite the benches. By the way, Candace is a great competitor and I appreciate the fact that she gives her all for her team.

So Grant gave W-town a little of their own medicine by putting the band behind the visitor's bench. Is this something they will do just for this game or will it continue? Are the Grant Co fans sitting behind the benches or are they on the other side? I know at W-town the band is sitting on the home side at least.

Check out the state tournament program and you will see a lot of 7th and 8th graders on those rosters. It is not a small school issue. Let them play!

Three man crews have saved those overweight and over the hill officials. I remember the days when officials had to sprint to get into position. The only sprint they do now is to the locker room when the final buzzer sounds.

She has to wear a sleeve over it.

The 8th region "A" tournament had a great atmosphere. Several teams had great fan support. Most games came down to the 4th quarter. The 31st district has 4 solid teams. I have never seen back to back tournament games won on shots at the buzzer. Great tourney!:thumb:

You got that right, GF. I don't think either team is too worried about Shelby Valley now. I think it will be another great Class a game with Owen pulling it out.

What special things has Coach Stowers done to develop such good 3 point shooting? I am sure they shoot a lot in practice. Does he get the credit or does he have naturally good shooters?
