NewCath outplayed LCA and had the game won but only made 2 of 7 FT in the last minute. Heartbreaking loss for the Breds.

Breds really let this opportunity slip away. Free throws will come back to haunt you and that was the only thing that kept NCC from winning the game.

The Breds put together a great effort and shows that they can play with anyone. Once again free throws down the stretch did cost them.

NCC has become a dangerous aggressive team. Two hardest fought games I have seen this year were the two they and SK split. I would like to get SK fast-pitch that aggressive this season!

Yes the Breds lost but the defense has been much improved this year under coach Dawn and this is what makes them able to compete with teams such as LCA.

I agree. Loved the article in the paper a week or so ago about how he approached coaching girls after so many years coaching guys. If you saw the two SK games, you know what I mean about aggressive play. Those two games were the best thing that happened to SK prepping for a run.

I thought NCC would shock them. LCA is an offensive machine, but they do not commit to the defensive end. NDA absolutely embarrassed them and LCA didn't know what hit them. They remind me of a very good AAU team that just looks to outscore their opponents rather than stop them from scoring. They don't have the luzury of having Claire in the paint to stop penetration and clean the glass.

NCC is a threat every time they step on the floor. IMO, the Bird's breathed a sigh of relief when they didn't draw NCC in the 1st round of the district this year :)
