Yes, I agree, and a lack of "D" could very well hurt in the near future for LCA. I think NCC will suprise at the end of the year. Glad they are not in the 8th. :D

What a "heartbreaker"! Considering everything the Breds had to deal with this week (hotel with no electric or hot water) they played like champions! Coach Dawn and his staff are doing an excellent job with the girls this year! We still have the District and Regional Tourneys to look forward to. Congrats on a great tourney and best of luck the rest of the season!:ylsuper:

That's to bad, it would have been nice to see the Breds move on.

Dogs that run across highways, and teams that don't make free throws. Two things that don't go very far this time of year.

Just curious, but I noticed in the boxscore 3 NCC players played the entire game and another only missed 1 1/2 minutes. I saw where they were 2 of 13 from the field and 2 of 7 from the line in the 4th quarter. Given they were playing on a college floor which is 10 feet longer and it was their second game of the day, I wonder if their legs were gone, because that will lead to missed shots late. Would a little more subbing have helped?

Very good point they did have a little bit of fatigue in the fourth quarter. I was very surprised that Michelle Stoll did not play in either of the games and I am not quite sure why.

Refs way too involved in this game. Had Barnette not been in foul trouble, it never would have been this close.

I really did not think that the officiating was that bad. I felt that all of her fouls were fouls. I don't think that either team got into the double bonus in either half.

NCC should have called a timeout. They had 2 left. Just my opinion.

I thought NCC would shock them. LCA is an offensive machine, but they do not commit to the defensive end. NDA absolutely embarrassed them and LCA didn't know what hit them. They remind me of a very good AAU team that just looks to outscore their opponents rather than stop them from scoring. They don't have the luzury of having Claire in the paint to stop penetration and clean the glass.

NCC is a threat every time they step on the floor. IMO, the Bird's breathed a sigh of relief when they didn't draw NCC in the 1st round of the district this year :)

I would say NC breathed a bigger sigh!
