Heard Callis did not play. Is this correct?

Callis - starting point guard - did not play, due to a reoccurring ligament injury in her foot. Trimble started 1 jr, 1 soph, 2 freshman, and an 8th grader. The subs consisted of about 1 jr, 5 additional freshman, several 8th graders and a 7th grader. For several, this was their first varsity experience. Hopefully, the experience will be beneficial for them in the future. :thumb:

 

I know that W-V, even with a couple of seniors, is a very young team, too. Hopefully these two teams can have a more competitive game in the future.

Coach Stewart is a class act and her ladies always responds and from what I have seen Walton ladies are responding positive to their coaches. Should be a very interesting future for both programs.

Walton's Katie Slavey had a really nice game off the bench with 12 points. This girl can shoot the basketball and is Walton's best shooter by far.

Yes, Katie Slavey had a "sweet" night hitting 3's. Congrats Katie and keep up the good work. Let's remember too that we need 5 players from each team on the floor to make a game happen so kudos to each lady and their part that they played during this game-offensively and defensively.
