Mason County freshman posted their 16th consecutive victory Wednesday night with a 79 to 36 victory over Pendleton County. Jeris Carver and Jordan Gilbert led the Royals with 14 points apiece. Donovan Orta, Neal Pawsat, and Tyler Berry were also in double figures with 11 points apiece. The Royals host the 39th District Tournament this Saturday. Mason plays St.Pat at 10am, with Bracken Co vs. Augusta at 11:15a.m. The finals are slated to begin at approxiamately at 12:30 pm.

The Mason County freshman ran their record to 15 and 1 on the season with a 53 to 20 victory over Bracken County. Tyler Berry led the Royals with 12 points.

Gayle Conley from Deming could touch top of square in the late 80's. He brought the Devils off their feet on many occasions in Mt.Olivet.

Huge upset for Clark County and a great win for the the Lady Cards. Rowan County gets into the top 25 and then falls. Where was this game played?

Mason County wins 4 out of 5 games last week, big win over Simon Kenton and makes the short trip across the street to their rival the St. Patrick Lady Saints. St. Patrick has had 10 days off since their All A loss to the Brossart Lady Stangs. What are everyones thoughts on this district matchup?

Great post and I was going to respond with this but I am glad that this was pointed out to assure that this wasn't one sided as someone above pointed out about the officials.

Mason County 71 Simon Kenton 70. Mason down eight at the half, Simon Kenton led by 15 in the third,came back to win in a thriller. Desaree 27pts 4 rebs to lead Lady Royals. Lacey Kline with 17, Litzinger with 16, and Menke with 9. Beth Queen hit a bucket to bring Lady Royals within 1 , Cline hits winner in the lane with 7 seconds remaining. Chambers and Menke named all tourney team

The word Home Court Advantage really baffles me, comical to say the least as it is always mentioned in a statement for a final score if in fact someone was not expecting or shocked at the final outcome. Such is the case here, Nicholas County gets a great win and shocks the Phillies after being demoralized by 34 at Harrison earlier. Yet all we can talk about is home cooking, Aunt B's cooking, and home court advantage. Give credit where its do, towards Nicholas County and there is some talent at the Lady Jacket program. Great win Nicholas!

After the region was held in Clark County in 1969 which failed by the way, the region moved to the Fieldhouse and 21 years past by before Mason County won the 10th Regional Tournament so when TOURNAMENT time comes why look at the court that you are playing on as a great emphasis when as we all know teams bring their "A" games and are playing their best basketball. On any given night, all teams can get knocked out. Mason County hosted for 21 years with teams beating them on their floor. The better teams win games after the final horn is sounded and scoreboard indicates the final outcome! Why can't anyone realize this?

On that night the better team does which is generally reflected by the final score and I believe Rowan County won. I do believe Rowan won that night, correct?

I will not get into that, just stating that despite playing on a schools home floor doesn't guarantee a win. The better team on a given day wins on that day. That is all I am saying. Deming was upended by St. Patrick at Deming in tournament play Monday night. Just using as an example that is all.

Deming doesn't believe in home court advantage either as they were upended by St. Patrick in the 1st game of the 10th Region All A Monday night held at Deming.

We had the better team when we played Rowan Co last week....we all know how that turned out I thought Rowan County won this game:confused:

Players go through stretches where they fall in a slump and there is no doubt that her production was missed in a few games including Catholics game, but as far as hearing her name on the radio in Catholics game, she is like any other player and suffers growing pains. Over the Christmas break in the tournaments, you would hardly hear Litzingers name as a Senior or 1/3 of your termed "Big 3" so to speak and that is because she was going through a tough stretch. Good players bounce back and Menke has put together a couple of solid games and has to do wonders for her confidence.
