The Lady Royals travel to Morehead to take on the Lady Vikings in a boy-girl doubleheader on Friday. As Coach Buser said in the post-game radio show after the MC-St. Pat game; "we owe them one". This should be a really good matchup.

I posted the same question on the boys' board - we're supposed to get some weather late Thursday/early Friday. If the game gets called, will there be a make-up?

I would think it would be hard to make-up a game this late in the season. I remember last year that they were supposed to play Rowan Co. on a Saturday around this time, and it got cancelled, and they never made it up...so who knows?

I agree; tough to make up a game this late.

We wound up going to Morehead anyway last year even though the game was canceled; I felt like I owed the family a dinner at Melini. It was not much fun driving back - that hill just on the Fleming County side of 32 was treacherous. Maybe we will get luckier with the weather this time around.

If the game gets played, an obvious key for Mason County is to stay out of foul trouble.

Yes. If any team can get any of the three seniors in foul trouble, then Mason County will be in trouble.

Mason County's Desarae Chambers is 11 points shy of breaking Chris Lofton's school record for points scored, according to an article in today's Maysville paper. The article is not in the online version of the paper, otherwise I would post it. As she averages over 20 ppg, chances are better than average that Desarae will break the record Friday night.

Good luck to Desarae and the Lady Royals!

Wow..So if she keeps it up and gets her average of 20 points a game, she might have a chance of getting 3000.

This stat and information alone might entice some of the Boys Varsity followers to stay in attendance and get two games for your price of admission. This will be interesting to see!
