Congrats to Harrison on the win. Harrison and Clark were the class of the region (again). The two best coaches have the two best teams. Must be a connection.

I think they will be fine and competitive with class A teams: 5-Thompson - A very good rebounder who can also score. 4-L Gallenstein - Very strong. Could potentially score double digits. 3-Mason - Very athletic. Gets to the basket well. Could score big numbers. 2-Clarke - Proven shooter who has gotten quite a bit bigger from last year. 1-To quote Hamlet, "that is the question" Yeary? Thomas? a rising freshman?

Harrison was EXTREMELY lucky to win this game. Potential 3rd strike in the 7th on one of their hitters called a ball and kid then delivers a hit and scores the 2nd and 3rd runs. Harrison also benefits from an error in the bottom of the 7th. If the play is made and the correct third strike is called, Clark wins 3-1.

Holmes probably received as many flagrant fouls in the tournament as all other teams combined, yet none of their players left the bench. Why have rules if they are not consistently enforced? They are then nothing more than suggestions. Another instance of selective enforcement by the KHSAA. Remember folks, follow the money.

What an impressive performance by Elliott. They were, for me, by far the most fun team to watch in the tournament. Really disappointed they couldn't have drawn another team and advanced. Great attitude on the part of their players. No complaining, trash talking, etc. They just play with joy and an obvious love of the game. A true team in every sense of the word. I am sure E.C. and their fans are disappointed, but they should be very proud of their team and the effort they gave. Congratulations on a great season. Next year, you will definitely be in the hunt for the big trophy.

I was going on size of school, mountain team vs Louisville, etc. Certainly no knock on talent. Their six players are very fundamentally sound and know how to play the game. I was extremely impressed.

Not so sure on this one. Two extremely talented players. I give a moderate edge to Darius in ball handling and outside shooting, and a slight edge in strength.

Truly a great game. One of the best state tournament games in recent memory. Classic David vs Goliath matchup. Very impressive performance by Paintsville's six man rotation.

I'm still betting his basketball knowledge exceeds all of us "experts" on this board.
