Harrison County 6 Scott 1

Harrison County cruises in the 10th Region Final. Brandon Martin pitched a complete game 3 hitter and won an unprecedented 3rd game in the regional tournament. Thats right, Martin was the winning pitcher in all 3 games for the Breds. Josh Moss hit a 2 run homer in the bottom of the first and Harrison was never really threatened after that. Harrison now advances to play West Jessamine in the Semi-State next week at Campbell County. Harrison County had 7 Sophomores in the batting order tonight with 2 Seniors and 1 Junior at Shortstop. They should be the early 10th Region favorite for 2009 and 2010.

 

Hopefully all you Campbell County and Scott High fans will come out and show support for the 10th Region Champion Thorobreds. Game time is 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Also I would like to congratulate the Eagles on a fine season, regional runner up is nothing to hang your head for, I would like to thank all the seniors for fine high school careers. Maybe now Scott will start getting respect in the 10th.

I am not sure they have an All Tournament Team. If they did there is no doubt that Brandon Martin was the MVP.

Scott had a good season, but lets not kid ourselves, they had a cake walk to the finals. This was clearly the year to be runner up in the 37th district, based on how the draw played out.
