  1. You are probably talking to the players(and parents of) that did not play very much because they would not listen to their coaches and would not do the fundamentals that were being taught. Players and parents always blame the coach when they think they are not getting enough playing time. There is nothing to be confused about, it's just sour grapes!!!The players I have talked to would welcome Coach Persinger moving up to the High School level.
  2. I agree with everything, except for part in bold. IMO I think the kids should be able to enjoy their success and not intimidated into it.
  3. No disrespect to your opinion but I do know Coach Persinger and Coach Kelsch and you could insert Coach Persinger's name in every where you used Coach Kelsch's name. Coach Kelsch has done a good job with the girls program but as someone alittle more familiar with this situation I would still say Coach Persinger is the most qualified person to lead the boys program.
  4. Just to let you know Persinger has had JV and Assistant Varsity boys experience under Coach McKinney and Coach Fisher.
  5. The THEY(site base council) that you are referring to have not even been notified of anything so do not believe you are correct in your statement.
  6. I agree and PK has only a little over 1 year of high school experience with the girls and I feel that is still a big difference than coaching a boys program. Why are people afraid to give Persinger a chance? He excels with every program that he is involved whether it is HS softball or middle school basketball.
  7. If Bracken Co. is going to hire within its own system then Chad Persinger should be the leading candidate for the Bracken Co. job. He was the most qualified last year and still is this year. Absolutely no question about it.:thumb:
  8. Have heard that rumor also but don't know who "they" are.
  9. I don't know about the "part time job" thing but they have to do a better job of hiring the best man for the job.:thumb:
  10. Soap opera's are not real life but they sure are FUN!:banana:
  11. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Gold Sunrise is correct the final hire is the principal. The site base committee does interview and give their opinion but the principal does not have to follow the recommendation of the committee. It is the principal's vote to hire, no matter what is discussed. The committee may not agree with the vote at all.
  13. Wow, where has Harrison Co. made their reservations for the state tourney?:puke:
  14. Bracken Co. wins their sixth straight home game.:ylsuper:
  15. Yes, this is a Augusta - Bracken Co. thread, so why bring up the schedule again and again. Just give the Bracken boys credit for playing a great game and don't worry about the Gods being crazy or Coach Kelsh making his team practice 2 hours after the game.
  16. Although Bracken Co. did not help their cause with bad free throw shooting, the bad calls at the St. Pat game led to many turnovers and changed the momentum of the game. Yes the refs did contribute to the outcome.
  17. It is amazing what a little DEFENSE can do. Great job Bears!!!!:dancingpa
  18. First, I want to say congrats to the Saints, they did what they had to to win the game. Now I will say that the game was absolutely the worst officiated game I have seen all year. Bracken has lost more games than they have won this year but this was first time the officials determined the outcome. Very inconsistant calls all night. The second half started with 8 whistles against Bracken Co. in the first 1:30 that left 2 starters on the bench with 4 fouls. All but 2 were questionable if not completely wrong. Bracken Co.'s momentum was taken away. It is just a shame that inept officials are allowed to referee with no consequences. This is the second game (Nicholas Co.)that one of the refs have done a Bracken Co. game and he did an equally terrible job at that game. If you can't do the job , just quit. As for the Bracken Co. players, I never saw player say anything to a ref or any coach. All I saw was amazement on their faces over some the calls being made against them or the no calls. Instead of worrying about Bracken players the Saints fans should check their own players mouths.
  19. If Bracken Co. had played any defense this season their win total would have probably been doubled. It is time that the coaching staff and players concentrate on defense and stop easy baskets if they any chance of making a strong finish to this season.:deadhorse:
  20. That is why they play the game! A win is a WIN...Great job Bracken Co.
  21. We will never know for sure though, will we?:ylsuper:
