No, I wouldn't call it an upset.

No, Montgomery is not that tough.

 

Had read on here that the Montgomery freshman were one of, if not the best in the 10th region, believe they beat Mason County and Clark County. Which leads to the question, what has happened to Montgomery County basketball over the last few weeks, back to back 35 point losses by the varsity and now freshman get tripped up by the Polar Bears.

Bracken beat Augusta by 22 I believe in the second game of the day.

Clark just beat them last week without a starter. Only time they've played them.

Not sure on any missing players. BC really played well as a team today, looked like they are starting to buy into what the new coach has been preaching.

Montgomery County freshmen are 17-4 on the season this far. That seems like a pretty good record. They beat Mason earlier in the season by around 7 points, then Clark got the win by around that margin a couple of weeks ago. They were missing their point guard and MC was missing one of their starting forwards, 6'2" Ryan Toy, to illness. All 3 freshmen teams (MC, Mason & Clark) seem to be evenly matched with quality players.

MC didn't look as good as they did three weeks ago nor did Augusta. Bracken County is playing the best I've seen them play so good job Bracken.

 

Let's get it back together PANTHERS and finish the season the way you started.

One of those games where Bracken hit everything from last second half court shot at half time to silly shots thrown up that went in, MC shot around 25 percent and missed lay ups. The third time these teams met, one out of three not bad, not taking anything from Bracken Co they played hard. MC stepped it up for Fleming Co the next game, won by 7. :ylsuper:

Does Fleming County play a lot of those outstanding 8th graders on the freshman team?
