In reality he has never had a paid coaching job and is not listed on the WKU website as being part of the staff.

The Bracken Co. AD passed over a local Coach with 13 years experience,Chad Persinger. Chad has had great success at the Middle School level and deserved a chance at the High School. The new coach has no head coaching or assistant coaching experience at all. It would have been nice to have a basketball coach at Bracken Co. for more than 2 or 3 years, but the Bracken Co. administration does not seem to think loyalty means anything. Just the same ole song and dance.

Jay Fite told his players today that he is resigning and taking an assistant coaching job at Lewis Co.

Yes.

Bracken Co. wins with a walk off grand slam. Bracken trailed the entire game and then Jonathon Cline ends it with the line drive grand slam. Dillon Hamilton and Andrew Cummins also hit HR's for Bracken Co. Great come back win for the Bears.
-
Cummins had a 3 run home run and 2 or 3 more RBI's.

Ledger Independent All-Area

Well, if every team was seen then evidently the second part of my statement must be correct. I thought playing defense and rebounding would be part of the qualifications for an All Area team and not just hitting 2 or 3 three's a game. -

Congratulations to all the kids. Whoever made up the list evidently did not see all the teams play or least wasn't paying attention. -

Bracken County Coach for 08-09?
Polar Cat replied to All In's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
I know for a fact that former AD and basketball Coach Hammonds discouraged his players from playing other sports. Although that is not the case now, because many kids did not play at a younger age they are not interested in getting beat 63 - 0 every Friday nite. -
Bracken County Coach for 08-09?
Polar Cat replied to All In's topic in KY Girls Basketball (High School)
When a coach is not rehired there will always be some happy and some upset fans. This is not the first time Bracken County has not rehired a coach for no good reason. The previous AD and Principal did not rehire the Olliers and we all know how well the football and baseball programs are doing now. Great move!!! -

Mack had the edge tonite. He shot over Miller and he drove around Miller. Miller scored most of his points against other Bryan Station defenders. -
Does the KHSAA use a pitch count or innings pitched to control how much a pitcher can be used? Is there a web site that can give details?
-
Congrats to the Panthers. Coach Fite and the Bears played hard in this one.

Thiis is why it is completely absurd that Mason Co. is in the same district with 3 All A schools.
-
I agree totally!!!!!

Varsity starters playing freshman ball
Polar Cat replied to TheGoodStuff's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
If you are a freshman why not play freshman ball!!!!!! The more experience the better no matter at what level. -
No, I don't think that is too much. The price of a collared shirt and dress pants are no more than jeans and a hooded sweatshirt. For example, team colored polo shirts still make them look like a team.

Should High Schools have a dress code for their players? IMO yes. Some schools that I have seen (Deming, Pendleton Co., and St. Pat) evidently have one because their players are always dressed nice(dress shirts and pants). These players are representing their school and should show pride in their school and themselves. Ragged jeans and tee shirts with the arns cut off, that I have also seen, are just not representing the school very well. Just wondered if anyone else felt the same way.
