Augusta Bishop Brossart Bourbon County Bracken County Calvary Christian Campbell County Deming Harrison County George Rogers Clark Mason County Montgomery County Nicholas County Paris Pendleton County Scott Silver Grove St. Patrick Edited February 17, 2009 by STRIKE3
Breds_12 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I believe that it would be an upset if Harrison did not win the region.
DISTORTEDHUMOR Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 (edited) Harrison County is going to be the team to beat, I don't think they will have much competition. They have alot of solid juniors, and sophmores. Edited February 17, 2009 by Ram Rule 13
polarbear1994 Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Harrison County is going to be the team to beat, I don't think they will have much competition. They have alot of solid juniors, and sophmores. Probably a few teams (Clark, Bourbon, Campbell?) that can hang.
BaseballIsLife Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Agreed, they will have competition but Harrison is the clear favorite and the best team in the 10th. As long as they play like they are supposed to and to their talent level, they SHOULD win the region. Whether that happens is up to the players and Coach Whitaker
Breds_12 Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Clark co. will not be able to hang with Harrison, i believe they beat them 2x last year. Bourbon co. was hammered by Harrison at Bourbons field with a sophmore pitching so i dont belive they will do much damage either. Campbelle co. is a very young and inexperienced team.
baseballnutz Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Have you seen bo co pitching this year I think you will be very surprised.
BaseballIsLife Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Bourbon has the best chance as they seemed to be young last year. Sure they may have some pitching but Harrison's is overall better at that.

Whether that happens is up to the players and Coach Whitaker I'm not doubting your statement at all. I was just listing some possible contenders if HC happens to falter.
Breds Fan Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 Who does Bourbon have that can pitch? I know of Jacoby, and Robertson. There is also another righty but I cant think of his name. Do you think these pitchers could get a win over Harrsion County?
Breds_12 Posted February 18, 2009 Posted February 18, 2009 (edited) I think that Bourbon might be a little better than they were last season, but I really don't think they have the team to beat teams such as Harrison, Clark and Campbell. Edited February 19, 2009 by Ram Rule 13

Do you think these pitchers could get a win over Harrsion County? BO CO has Lefty Ruppard and Frosh Mullins, Soph's Norman and Clark that have really worked in the off season, They also have a transfer from Sayre, Gaines. Harrison beat BO CO at home early last year but it wasn't a blow out they were ahead until the 4th inning. They beat Harrison summer team 2X this summer with Robertson on the mound, but I wouldn't put them in the top 2 of the 10th but they shouldn't be overlooked.
Rake Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 No offense but summer and high school seasons are day and night in differences. I'm not telling you anything that you dont know, but intensity is a little different. But they did win the District and that has to give them a little confidence going in.
Breds Fan Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Harrison beat Bourbon 13-3 last year with there 7th or 8th pitcher on the mound. Summerball.. seriously? Half of Harrisons player dont even play summerball and the other half use it to concentrate on different posistions or help with pitching. There is nothing serious about summerball except to help inexperience players get experience and to try and become a better player. It is not on a competitive level.
YeSsIr Posted February 19, 2009 Posted February 19, 2009 Campbell County has some experience, but not much from the pitching stand point, and really they aren't too young, maybe 1 or 2 sophomores, possibly 0. They beat Harrison with Estes last year whom returns.
