  1. Awesome win for the Lady Demons!!! Hardest playing team in the 8th!!!!:thumb:
  2. hope they can pull it together soon!! it would be a great story if they can regroup and get it done in the All A
  3. it's like anything else it starts at the top! Once you've lost respect of those your leading it's very hard if not impossible to get it back.
  4. I would agree it's time to start preparing for next year. But that has nothing to do with players.
  5. I agree, it's been allowed to go on to long it needs to be taken care of now.
  6. congrats to Trimble County glad to see them in the win column.
  7. Bald Guy, I picked up on this very early in the year the first couple of times I saw Walton play. You can read it in some of my earlier posts. I agree it looks like a bad situation. I mentioned after I saw them play Carroll County they didn't seem to have the knowledge to put together even a basic press break.
  8. I disagree Madman, I have seen Heeger twice at Trimble Co. One game she had 7-3's and the other game she had 4-3's. She also played really good defense.
  9. could not agree more with last 2 posts. Lunatic, back to 8th region refs, do you think it is tougher to get quality refs to come to the 8th because of how spread out the schools are. I'm thinking the best would want to stay in the 9th were there is less travel. What's your thought?
  10. Walton tried to press and played man in the first half. (Big mistake) I saw Walton play Holmes in a summer league and Walton beat them soundly. I don't know what has happened since then. Looks like to me Walton needs some help at guard. They have some younger guards coming up that could help them. Great game played by Holmes. There big girl inside is very impressive.
  11. good picks on Tosha Combs and Kelli Dixon, both will be dominate by Junior year
  12. Bingo 32 minutes!! most of the refs who do girls basketball get in the rut of making the foul call on blocks regardless of what really took place. I think it has to do with the difference in elevation when girls block shots. Although some girls can really jump, most of the time their block is coming closer to the release of the ball from the shooters hands, opposed to boys where players are able to block shots after the release, so the seperation between the ball and the shooters hand makes it easier to discern a clean block. I think that coupled with (in most cases) the difference in talent levels between officals that do girls games opposed to boys makes for a lot of sterile calls in girls games.
  13. makes a difference when your playing somebody your own size. Literally!:sssh:
