Final

Did Walton Verona hang with them for any period of time? How did Hargett and Heeger do?

Holmes went up by 11 at the half and held the lead the rest of the game. Hargett scored 13.

Missed this game, to travel with the boy's, but hopefully the girls will get back on track and start winning a few in a row soon!

Walton tried to press and played man in the first half. (Big mistake) I saw Walton play Holmes in a summer league and Walton beat them soundly. I don't know what has happened since then. Looks like to me Walton needs some help at guard. They have some younger guards coming up that could help them. Great game played by Holmes. There big girl inside is very impressive.

Summer ball doesn't mean squat. Coaches and teams don't always take it serious.

Walton does have some good young guards (7th/8th grade) but they won't help them for a couple of years. It may be a long year for the Lady Cats. :fire:

You are correct about their middle school program from what I hear.
