Sawyer Williams freshman starts for Owen Co. Rowdy Yates freshman Carroll Co (at least the game I saw maybe all the time) Zac Wise sophomore was starting and doing very well for Carroll Co until he was sidelined with an injury.

How big is he?

I haven't seen Jake True in awhile but I thought he was considered a big man. Is he not still one of the bigger players for his age?

Don't know about a brother but he does have an older sister, Bekah, who plays.

Who are some of the freshman playing for Cov Catholic this year?

How about Parker Stansberry, a true freshman and a young one at that. Will he be playing for Dixie this year. The last time I saw him he was about 6'3" and dangerous from the the three point line.

Just curious as to what the average head varsity basketball coach would make at a parocaial school.

It is suprising to me that people think that all schools have a freshman team. I know of alot of schools that don't have freshman teams. Sometimes the smaller schools have a hard time having a freshman basketball team.

They are working very hard. The coaching staff and the boys are doing a great job and we are seeing improvements in all areas. More and more kids are wanting to join the team. With a solid group of 8th graders coming aboard next year the team will only get better. There are 12-15 8th graders on the undeafeated middle school team. The middle schoolers were very excited about their overtime victory against Grant Co middle school last week.

I saw him Sat and he said he was ok but he had a concussion.

The problem is when the winning coach does not use this as an opportunity to play the reserves. I have seen the losing team put in reserves while the team up 40+ points still has the first string in the game.

With a knee injury,a muddy field is the last place he needs to be. If he was mine he would sit this one out.

Soccer and volleyball scores have been late this year too.

Does Walton Verona have kids on their youth teams who do not attend Walton Verona schools? I saw a flyer for sign ups for the WV youth team and it stated that you do not have to attend school at Walton Verona to play.

Walton-Verona participates in a youth league with Grant Co, Gallatin Co, Owen Co, and Pendleton Co. This is their 2nd year in the league that has 1/2, 3/4, and 5/6 grade teams.

The game is at Newport High School. 900 E 6th St Newport. The directions given to the team has you going into OH on 71 and back into KY on 471 S. I think I would just take the 5th St exit off 75N. According to the directions 6th ST is off KY 8/Washington Ave.

Bowling Middle (Owen Co) is looking good. They beat Henry Co (38-0) for the first time in a few years. They also defeated Berea and Walton-Verona.

My schedule says the Owen Co vs Gallatin Co game is at Owen Co.
