  1. With all due respect, I would say that if this gentleman is a part of a program that has produced two state championships in the state of Florida, I would say that those credentials alone are enough to land a job here in our state. Not belittling our football and/or our programs at all. But knowing the right people is 75% of the battle anymore.
  2. U are correct on year and player.
  3. Then again maybe I was just seeing what all he knew.
  4. What postion did he play for the cats this year.
  5. Did he even start at pineville or was he a backup?
  6. Was he any good?
  7. Shawn Woolum played at Bell Co. ? What year?
  8. Ya, I would for sure like to hear this one also.
  9. Most realistic statement I have read on here in a long time and one that cuts thru all spectulation. :thumb:
  10. I would be pretty excited if I were Coach Larkey. At the S.E.K.C. Banquet there was some pretty good lookin athletes representing Cumberland.
  11. I wouldnt be so quick my friend. Its ok to be optimistic but dont put all that pressure on these young men. Adopt a new slogan, one that even these student athletes could also grab a hold of. Do not look past today and never look ahead when you have the present to overcome. :thumb:
  12. I wonder when Coach Larkey will name is staff of assistants. I am sure that also is a done deal or close to being.
  13. To the best of my understanding the players and coaches at Evarts, Cawood, Cumberland are meeting with Mr. Saylor and Larkey as we speak. Not 100% on this but pretty good source.
  14. Sounds like Coach Larkey is making a fine decision for he and his family's economic well being.
  15. This is what makes our district better. I think that if they are loaded and just say bell will be 7 or 8 win team next year. That competition only breeds success and is good for both programs.
  16. Nothing misunderstood about it, my hearing is very good. Thanks for your concern thou.
  17. One other reason we have a vested intrest in this would be, if he does go to Harlan County then our strenght of schedule takes another blow.
  18. Catlett himself told me this!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Catlett was not given the things he needed at Ballard to win. I mean when you dont have a paid assistant on staff. What do you expect. If given 2 or 3 good assistants I think he would be a capable and quality head football coach. :thumb:
  20. I agree raider, it will be a good choice to.
  21. Sounds like "SABOTAGE" to me. Leonidas are you a big basketball supporter in HC.
  22. You are correct, UT would be a wonderful place for any young man to spend his collegiate days. Monte, I'm sure, would greatly enjoy kicking off in front of 107,000 in Knoxville. Lets just hope that mr. merrick stays grounded and not forget what got him where he is today, hardwork and discipline.:thumb:
  23. This would be the type of field general your program needs if it will have any chance of being as competive as talked about on BGP.
  24. I believe that answer has been doing that for about a month now and has made some very valid points. The problem is that you all enjoy all the perks of how things are now and i cant say that i blame u. But no use talking or trying to validate a point that you or me have no posibilties in changing. So my theory one worries about things you directly effect all the rest, "FORGET IT":irked::sleep::irked:
  25. I played against DeShea. He was a horse of a back.
