Monte Merrick a Hilltopper...
Trenches07 replied to Cover Corner's topic in KY Football (High School)
I am just glad that Monte will recieve a free education and at a quality institution. Monte has the ability to kick on Sunday's one day if he will stay focused and not get satisfied with where his progression is at any point. Great players always find away to make themselves better and as someone thats watched him for several years, he can get better! I wish you nothing but the best and you have worked hard for this. Now go be one of the best ever. -

7 paid assistants at a 4A sounds about right. 2 for your freshman team, one for your OL, one for your DL, one for the RB/LB's, one for the secondary, then your head assistant, IMO. -
Lexington Public Football - It just doesn't Make Sense

The talent is there! I think some of it has to be the coaching, regardless of talent if you dont have a man at the helm that can get the job done then everyone is spinning there wheels. -

Football is the biggest money maker in sports in most school districts. Plus its a great team sport that teaches a lot of discipline and work skills. I can't imagine them (Fayette School Board) being the blind. -
He's a pretty good coach and nice fella.

What happened with Snodgrass. Thought he was a pretty good coach with 7 wins this year?

Not the point, those are sports in our country that both male and female participate in. -
What Do You Have Coming Back in '09..?

That would for sure be a way to add some playoff type experience to the regular season. -

Charger, your team excuted their game plan pretty good and brought there "A" game to Louisville. Very hard hitting and fighting bunch of young men. #13 deserves much respect very hardnosed back. One of the best downhill runners the cats have faced this year. -

The females of the school can also use a turfed field. Soccer, lacrosse, field hockey just to name a few. -
Done a great job this year and done even a better job in getting his team to progress each week. :thumb:

I will say this and this is all I will add. BE did not stop Bell County! Bell County stoped Bell County. Halftime score should have been 21-7. But to there credit they kept fighting. All that matters is that the TROHPY and the title of "STATE CHAMPS" lives in BOBCAT Country for 2008! -

Sounds like to me B.W. that west is a little closed minded about giving state champs dew credit. :flame: -

#13 is one hard nosed young man. I thought he was very good in the first half. But the BC def. made some adjustments in the second half that stopped the belly. I am not sure but if I were to guess I would say they had less then 5 first downs in the second half. -

These last 3 games have been won by a total of 9 points by the Bobcats. But none the less the BC has found away to come thru those close games. I am very proud of their character and resilence to buckle down when needbe. First undefeated season in school history. First complete season in C. Hiltons 34 year career. Plus that big fat trophy and those rings are coming to BELL COUNTY in 08. :dancingpa :dancingpa:dancingpa -

The Rebels are a great football team Pride92. Some of the best LB play I have seen. I was very impressed with #8 and his route running and made some very nice catches tonight. This is one of the deepest groups of talented receiver's I beleive that has ever been on a Bell Co. team. They were the difference tonight.
