No big deal, but I didn't see much other way to take it, especially since you'd already made this a bit of an issue in a previous BB game thread, and received the same answer there?? Time to move on, as I think most schools would prefer to have freshmen play freshman ball; but sometimes see fit to move them up for various reasons. In my opinion, it should all be about developing the kid's talent to the max, as well as creating team chemistry. Often this may be for future varsity teams, which would be my argument for keeping them together as frosh as much as possible?

NKY teams have had a very good track record recently in this tourney--I'd look for one of them in the finals.

Had my Mac for about a year now after several PC's, and it still runs like a champ. My company has a virtual PC side loaded into the laptop "just in case", but I never use it? Have run into a couple of compatibility issues with some video programs, but with a little research got them solved. Don't think I'd consider going back either.

Assuming the region is held every year at the Fieldhouse, this could be a reincarnation of the MCIT--LOL!! Seriously, this lineup would produce very little in terms of different regional qualifiers? I can see at least four virtual automatics every year, and only one district where the 1 & 2 seeds would very often be in doubt??

Heard that Dixie's WR Bobby Leonard visited Georgetown, but haven't gotten an update since?

Thanks for confirming regarding Todd. He would have been a very good footballer, had he chosen to play. Agree on Sutton as a receiver--I thought he might have been used a little as a WR, but played primarily safety. Wasn't Brett a state ranked high jumper as well?

Had the same question Clyde? Didn't TJ concentrate on hoops and foresake football? Both Sutton's were great football and basketball players, but neither ended up playing hoops beyond their sophomore seasons if I'm not mistaken? Brett was an amazing athlete, and a dominant hoops player throughout elementary/middle school, but never really played much in HS for various reasons. Peter was very athletic as well and a big target in football, and could have been a very fine HS player in basketball as well. Always thought Brett could have been a great receiver, but spent more time as a DB I believe. Bovard was an unbelievable WR, and made some spectacular plays. Played AAU hoops with Peter and several other fine area HS players for the NKY Rockets.

In this case it was pretty simple logic. Brossart already has two freshmen who are playing strictly JV (both of which have been injured), and about 4 others who come up and provide valuable depth to a JV squad lacking a little in numbers. Verst plays freshman and then adds valuable minutes to the JV team normally, and happened to have a very hot hand in the Frosh/JV games, especially from three-land. With Highlands sitting back in a zone all night, and a couple of their normally reliable long range shooters cool; Coach Code saw fit "to go with the hot hand" for a few minutes and Nate was able to deliver a big three. Seems to me we should be celebrating the kid's feat, instead of nitpicking the logic--It's not a regular event in this case. If he played all three every night, I'd agree with the naysayers. Personally if I'm going to pick on "logic" involving freshmen, it will be against teams that play talented freshmen "up" all season; and then see fit to slide them back down for a game or two come Frosh Tourney time??

VERY young Brossart team with only two seniors and one junior, but will be pretty good in a couple years. I agree that Coach Craven does a nice job at Campbell, and certainly had the better team in this one. Also think Coach Feldmann was a great hire at BB, and will have some very good success there. Good luck to both teams the remainder of the season.

No stress here, just stating my opinion. I'm not so naive that I don't understand that football is a much more "size intensive" undertaking for a school than many other sports, and needs to be classified; but simply feel that too many classes lessens the achievement of winning a championship. If you and others chose to think otherwise, that's cool.

It also creates a joke of a playoff system, where winless teams make the "playoffs"?? Even the NBA or NHL aren't that silly!! Heck I bet you think the Bengals should be a playoff team, just so Mike Brown's feelings don't get hurt??

Comparing the NFL and KY HS football is the real joke?? So approximately 1 in 37 wins a state championship, 1 in 9 wins a regional, and 1 in 4.5 win a district; if they could only award "sub-districts", we could probably achieve your goal of awarding everyone a championship. Regarding your last statement, show me where more kids are playing due to 6 classes??

Kentucky needs no more than three classes in football. Being the best of 30+ teams and being declared a "state champion" is a joke IMO.

BBHS--You apparently joined BGP (taking the school initials as your screen name) for the express purpose of slamming Brossart football and Coach Reinhart in particular, with nothing but hints, innuendo, and "if you only knew what I know" type comments?? Guessing you're either a disgruntled parent or player, or a ex-player that couldn't cut it? Why not try supporting the program if you're really a fan, instead of making up controversy?? It's hard enough to start a program in an area with multiple already established, championship caliber programs competing for players!! The coaches and kids in this program are trying very hard to build something, and sure as heck don't need your so-called "facts", but rather solid support of their efforts!!

Should be an interesting game to see how the local 10th region teams stack up against the now #1 team in NKY and the 9th (I know its early). If the Camels can hang with Dixie, it could speak well for the 37th district's quality this year. All that said, I think Dixie may have a little too much for the Camels--Dixie by 8 in a fairly high scoring game.

Interesting first post BBHS? An unfounded rumor about Brossart in a Campbell County thread?? Back on topic--Congrats to Coach Styer for the job he did stepping into a less than desirable situation and making the best of it!! He's turned the program in the right direction, and hopefully for the Camels, his replacement will continue his work. Best of luck to Coach in his future undertakings, and hopefully he gets to spend some time with his family--Coaching is a time consuming profession.
