IMO Hatton and McCormick would just continue to be a great combination. McCormick does more to affect a game than Hatton in that he can defend, score, rebound, play defense, etc. (he doesn't do anything better than the other), while Hatton's biggest strength is his ability to put the ball in the basket. Both are great players and would make Dixie a contender for the next 3 years if they are both their next year.

Could be or they are afraid of getting cut.....understandable to a certain degree.

Has anyone heard an information on either of these jobs? Have they done interviews? If not, when will they? What names are floating around for these jobs?

IMO...there is nothing to decide. You only get one opportunity to represent your state. Surprising.

Like this team except Ryan Taylor has to be on it. KY has to be the favorite.

And they start 3 sophomores so we will probably be hearing about them for the next couple of years as well.

Just saw the shot on the news and sadly the official blew it.Half his shoe was over the line. Wasn't even close. I think when the technology is available you have to allow the officials to check and get the call right.

The official 5 feet away and behind Covington immediately called it a 3. I thought it was a 2 but when the officials met to discuss (at least they huddled up this year) the one that rules was explaining to the other two officials that his foot was on the college line, not the high school line.

Western is one of the most poorly coached teams I have seen. Their offense last night was to post up Taylor on the 3-point line or elbow and have him go 1-on-2, 1-on-3 from there. #22 got some open looks as well. Central played a Triangle-and-2 for a large portion of the game and should have won, but gave it away late. Bullitt East played some Triangle-and-2 last night against Iroquois, so I wouldn't be surprised to see the same against Western. It is a shame with Western because Taylor is one heck of a player who could do even more if they did anything to get him shots.

the result tonight doesn't matter to Frankfort in terms of playing Franklin County in district. Frankfort plays Western Hills with a win and Woodford County with a loss. Even so, I believe Frankfort swept Franklin County so while I am sure they would respect them, not sure there would be fear.

I agree they need to look for a new coach, but I can GUARANTEE that won't happen. And, I think you are absolutely right about where the money is coming from. Another GUARANTEE that it is coming out of the basketball fund, not Morrow's pocket.

If that is true, then that was lame of the officials. Let's get the call correct, not worry about the way he was acting. Sounds like an after the fact excuse on why they missed the call. I just don't understand how officials don't automatically huddle after a last second shot to see what everybody had before leaving the court. Same thing occurred last year in Henry Clay - Franklin County game. Technology obviously won'[ allow instant replay, but at least discuss it. Having said all that, it doesn't excuse Morrow for acting like a fool and he should be in trouble for acting like that. But, what I don't get is if a coach gets ejected, he gets a two-game suspension. These comments -- albeit off the court -- would have constituted something similar, so I think he should have been suspended two games.

Does this results put Scott County vs. Bryan Station in the first round of the district? They played about about 10 days ago and I know Bryan Station led for a large portion of the game. I heard Morton from Bryan Station got benched for a large part of last night's game.

According to KHSAA handbook: The season shall consist of a maximum of twenty-three (23) games to be played prior to the beginning of KHSAA state championship competition (district). A maximum of two (2) tournaments may be included in any manner other than counting each game played against the limit of twenty-three (23) games. Any two tournaments played during the regular season may be counted as one game per tournament against the limit of twenty-three (23) provided that neither tournament necessitates the team playing more than four (4) games. Any game played over the limit of four in any one tournament shall be counted against the limit of twenty-three (23) games.

At the Toyota Classic, they have an impartial person in the crowd that makes the decision. They have always done it that way.

Frankfort-Woodford is next Saturday.

Again, I seriously doubt he made a guarantee, but even so, he is looking like a prophet. If Frankfort beats Woodford County next Saturday, they win the regular season district title. Of course, that is not the one any of these teams want -- that will be played in late February.
