What is the status on this hire? Anyone heard anything? With June right around the corner and summer basketball plans taking place how close are they to naming a coach?

Was wondering that same thing. Awful quiet at Lafayette. Anyone know who's getting interviews?

They decided the candidates for interviews yesterday and will start interviews next week. I heard this straight from the A.D. This place is screaming for a young coach who wants to plant roots at Lafayette.

Who are the lucky ones?

If they hire like they have in the past for the other open positions in the city they will not hire the best canditate.

i too am intrested in the final candiates.....if you can list them.

I can tell you that they are not going to hire the best candidate. Someone posted somewhere that here is the time kids get hurt.

Feel bad for Lafayette's kids.

On who the canidates are?

I don't know who all did get interviews, but I do know the one person I had said would do a great job (Tony Wise) didn't get one. Strange? He has MORE than proven himself in here in Florida, and turned a program in Ky. completely around going 21-9 this year.

If Tony wise did not get an interview thats sad. There is no doubt that parents are still running the program at Lafayette.

Fayette County has decided that they are not committed to bringing in the best coaches for their programs. Enough said Fayette County, we get it, sports are not a priority.

I totally agree with you on this one T.T. It's a sad day! The reputation for sports has become a joke!

This has been going on for some time in Lexington.
