Has anyone heard an information on either of these jobs? Have they done interviews? If not, when will they? What names are floating around for these jobs?

I'm hearing Larry Miller (Moore) turned down the Male Job, and that Matt Lemon (Seneca) will be named the new coach at Male very soon. If this is true, then coach Lemon has been very fortunate because its my understanding that Miller turned down the Seneca job so they would give it to Lemon. Now he turns Male down and Lemon gets it. Just the scuttlebutt i'm hearing.

I have heard that they are not planning on picking their candidates till next week. I've heard Tony Wise from Frankfort. 21-9 season at Frankfort is a HECK of a year...heard he was interested in it last time too. Sounds like they missed out on a good year of coaching by Wise.

Larry Miller will be at Male

Tony Wise would be a great choice. He got beat in the finals his last year down here in Florida. His team won my tournament down here a year or 2 before that. I was very impressed by how hard his teams played and how well-coached they were. Not knocking any other candidates, it is just I have seen Tony's teams play and seen him coach, so I feel very certain he would do a great job!

Any updates on these positions?

Lafayette will be starting interviews in a couple weeks, heard this from one of the candidates. I can't give you his name, but he is a young coach that is very well thought of in coaching circles around the country.

Around the country? I'm interested to hear this name.

Well, he has coached in three states, and has been a coach at a lot of premier camps.

If I guess it will you tell me? A.W. Hamilton

It's not A.W. Hamilton. I don't know if he is going to get the job but he has been contacted about an interview.

Not sure I believe this. Most high schools don't operate like colleges and contact applicants if they haven't shown interest already. Does he have a teaching degree? Also, not typical for head coach to be a paraproffesional (although not impossible). Schools typically want the head coach to be in the school so they can oversee their players.

With that said, AW knows his stuff. I hear he is putting on an elite camp at the KBA.

It is sad that Lafayette has started on this coaching Merry go round. Things usually end up going badly for the kids.
