Thats the bad part of playing in a tough region.

Madison Central would be at the top of the 16th year in and year out. Madison Southern would be in the upper half every season and every once in a while do quite well. You're making no point by pointing out that the 44th is weak...Central competes with the top teams in the 11th region year in and year out.

Southern will never be the favorite against Central...

Rockcastle is in the 12th now... Not sure about Clay, but it's not the 12th

Madison Southern usually puts out a pretty decent team...They are just in the wrong region to be able to compete.

Baseball teams need to be solid in the middle of the field to be a good team. Catching, Pitching, Middle infield and Centerfielder are the most important positions on the field.

Anyone who actually thinks Madison Central is an Eastern Kentucky school as the person implied they were, needs to take a visit to Madison county then proceed into Estill county. Two completely different places.

As I mentioned, I went to Model...I don't see a problem with them voting to have a blind draw as long as the KHSAA allows it. IMO, I believe the KHSAA needs to step in and have seeding for every district but until then Model will always vote to draw for that chance to get a good draw then share some of the region profits.

I'm a graduate of Model....why would he leave being an AD at East Jessamine to be the coach at Model? I have no idea what kind of offense he runs...but in my time at the school there was only one winning season. You can not try and run up and down the floor. The year we had a winning season we probably only averaged 45 points per game. You have to set up a motion offense and run it the turn around and play solid defense in the half court. The second you try to run against bigger schools is the second Model gets blown out of the gym

Maybe in 2006 but, thats the only time I can remember Southern having a better baseball team...but you do make a good point. They just don't believe they can play with Central.

Seems like a tough first round game for Madison Central

So how do they decide who gets to play? The team the beat in the semi's? Thats not fair to the team they beat in the round of 8 or 16, the chain keeps going. One person does not win a football state championship.

In a game this past season at Transy, the pitcher balked. Our coach yelled balk and the umpire said he wasn't allowed to do that. I do not know if he rule is the same for high school though.
