The football season is over for the Panthers. Now, how will the basketball team look with every player now?

This game is going to be tough for the Raiders. Losing Bird did not help at all but I know Coach Poynter will have the boys prepared for the game. I also think the game will be closer than people think. Good luck Coach Poynter and the Raiders!

This has been a tough season for Coach Weedman and the Panthers. Although the record does not show it, the Panthers improved alot through the year. The seniors on this team are a bunch of great young men that have fought hard thoughout the season and never gave up. I am sure that Coach Weedman will have his Panthers ready come next season. Good luck seniors and good luck to the Panthers in the off season!

WOW! Closer then I thought it was going to be. I guess Brossart was not the team that Gallatin needed to get ready for playoffs. Coach Poynter must be saving his big guns for Frankfort. Great win Raiders! Can't wait to see you against the Panthers next week :thumb:

Regardless, Bird has been out and Trimble has been averaging alot of points. These three teams are not the types of teams Gallatin has played this year besides two. Now let me ask you steelcurtain. Are Bracken Co, Owen Co, Evarts, Eminence, and Bishop Brossart teams that are a real good test for Gallatin? I think not, but then again somebody had mentioned in an earlier thread that Evarts was preseason top ten in the state this year :laugh: I would love to see this poll!

I realize that a win is a win, but it was Brossart they were playing. Trimble has been playing alot of solid teams w/o Bird and have been successful. Should be a great night of football in Warsaw!

This just proves that TC has the experience in playoffs. Although they are 0-4, they have still been in the atmosphere. This also gives TC the edge.

Trimble Co. was not ready to play in the match up. Hawkes did not do what he is capable of doing, Peters did not play up to his potential, and Trimble's D was missing tackles. TC also made alot of mistakes. I am confident that Coach Poynter and the Raiders will not let these mistakes happen again. With Bird being out, TC is playing for him. He is the motivation and Big Mo is rolling! :thumb: Hawkes is using his legs AND arm to beat teams now and Sullivan and Bray are putting up big numbers. It will be too much for GC to handle come Friday night. Best of luck to both teams! :thumb:

What happend to Jesse Florence? Even with jesse though, I would pick the Raiders. Trimble Co. has been playing well, maybe because of the motivation of David Bird being out. I think that the first game this season was a fluke between GC and TC. I look for Hawkes to have a great game. TC: 35 GC: 14

This game kind of makes me wonder a little bit! Since Dayton lost to Carroll but beat Bellevue, what would happen in a rematch between Carroll and Gallatin? Too bad we have to wait until next year! :thumb: Best of luck to all the teams going into playoffs!

Im proud of all of these young men. They ahve worked way too hard and the 2-8 record doesn't show it, but tonight they showed it. Welch and Rose are tremendous athletes. Although Welch scored the last TD, Rose was lead blocking for him. What a couple of runningbacks to stop! Congrats Coach Weedman and the Panthers!

I know Welch is, but is he for sure playing this year?

I heard practice has officially started in CC! Any news on how the boys look? With all of the players back together like they were in younger years, they could make some noise.

I am going to take Bellevue in this one. I have seen both teams play and Bellevue is simply the better team. I seen the Gallatin game against Trimble and they played pretty good but Trimble did hit the runingback (#32 I believe) in the back field just did not make the tackle. Bellevue will not let these tackles be missed. Offensively, I think Bellevue will be able to do whatever they want. I do not think that Gallatin has the personel to stop the run game. Should be great game at Gallatin!

Predictions? Thoughts?

As do I Super B! I have seen these kids play together when they were younger and they were had talent. I hated watching the games last year and seeing some of the boys play just JV and some of them just playing Varsity. They should have been playing together. I do hope that they build back the chemistry they once had. Good luck to the Panthers this coming season.
