How will that great defense stop Mote, Floyd, AND Fowler? Now, I'm not sure SW can stop Rowe. That kid is a beast! It will be a great game. I'll go with SW 21-20 in a thriller.

That was done without an All State QB, Starting corner/ running back, and 3 others out for PC. For a team that is suposed to pride itself on defense, Pulaski sure did run and throw the ball up and down the field on Rock. If PC's defense is so bad, what's that say about Rock's defense?

3 wishes, you yourself said that the Harlan is a different team than the one that lost to SW in their week one game. Well can't the same logic be used for PC? I mean they are playing about as good as anyone lately ( obviously except for the Barren game which I have no explanation for). Plus it is playoff time and good teams really get rolling at this time, which they are. I am not saying that they will run the table, I just wanted to point out your own logic for thinking one team is better than another.

Pulaski County was, and is, the better team.They proved it last night. You can whine and cry all you want. Everyone knows SW has NEVER lost a football game. They have either been cheated by refs, shot themselves in the foot, even had aliens come down from outer space and beat them. You are right. You WERE NOT at the game! So your statement was an ASSUMPTION, not fact. PC stonewalled SW in the second half, controlling the game. You didn't see PC defense last night! Defense scored on a 95 yrd INT return. They stuffed SW 3 different times on 4th and short. SW did not shoot themselves in the foot. They did not get hosed by bad calls. They got STUFFED by Pulaski County's defense!!!!! Sorry you didn't see the game, you missed a great defensive performance by Pulaski County!

The INT return for a TD is called DEFENSE!!!!! SW being stopped from doing anything what so ever in the 2nd half is called DEFENSE! We can sit down and watch play for play if you would like. The returner was down when he touched the ball, by the way. I have watched it several times from 2 different angles. Pulaski County driving 96 yards down SW's throat, taking over 8 minutes off the clock and getting a TD was the back breaker. For a team that was supposed to be so great on defense SW could not stop Pulaski's ground game. NO EXCUSES!! Pulaski was the better team last night! Now, let's get a clean sweep in the playoffs and have a rematch for the Region Title. The only way it should be!

WHAT?!!!!! You are kidding, right? What calls were in PC's favor? How about the opening kick off of the 2nd half when a SW player laid on the ground, picked up the ball, got up and took off up field. Everyone thought the play was over and gave him a chance for big return. He was down, and should have been called down at the 2. Or in the 4th qtr when Logan Joseph had his jersey pulled off of him as he chasing Turpin, right in front of the white hat but... no call. As far as the mistakes. It was Pulaski's defense that STOPPED SW, not SW mistakes. NO EXCUSES!!!!! Pulaski flat out beat Southwestern last night. AND beat them at their own game, running the ball and defense! Congratulations to the Pulaski County Maroons! DISTRICT CHAMPIONS!!!!!

Pulaski went from 2-9 in 2006 to 10-2 in 2007.

This could be an old fashioned shootout! I don't see SW stopping PC's offense. PC has shown they struggle against the run. Last one with the ball wins. The BIG question is... Will SW play with fire and kick it to PC? Or will they be content on letting the Maroons have it at the 35 or beyond? Looking for a CLASSIC Friday night!

Didn't coach Hilton go to Bourbon County and really turn them around in "97? I know they won a State Championship with him. Can't remember how they were before he got there.

2nd half looked like the Pulaski County everyone was expecting. Eastham was a beast in the 2nd half with 5 rushing TDs. South came unraveled about midway through the 3rd Qtr. A couple of turnovers turned into points for PC and It was pretty much over. A good win for PC.

Why does it matter? It's over and done. PC is now focusing on South Laurel.

SL stacked the box to try to slow down SW's running game last week. I don't think they will be able to do that against PC. The Maroons passing game is to dangerous to try to just load up to stop Abner, Eastham, and Haste out of the backfield. As with every game, PC has to stop the run game and get off the field on 3rd down. The Maroon defense is finally getting healthy. Tyler Abney should be back on the D line as well as Logan Joseph at linebacker. PC will be to much on offense for SL. I'll go PC 45-20.

Unless the scenario is to play on October 30th, why would PC agree to play? Putting the team at risk playing more than 1 game in a week is not an option for PC. Again, I hope the game is played, but it is not up to PC to make any concessions what so ever. They were prepared to play on the scheduled date. No matter who said what to who & when, the fact is Lincoln County canceled the game... NOT Pulaski!

I guess the question is, can Lincoln get opened for that date? I'm sure both sides would like to find common ground. They have been put in a horrible position. As a fan, I just to see the game played. Win or lose.

Again... IT IS NOT UP TO PULASKI TO BEND OVER FOR LINCOLN!!!!!!!!!!! Do not lay blame at Coach Hines' feet. Lincoln is the one who chose not to play on the scheduled night. I'm sure this game could be played on the 30th. Lincoln has a scheduled game with Garrard County on that night. Are they going to buy out of that contract & take a forfeit against Garrard? It is not up to coach Hines, AD Randy Elmore, Superintendent Tim Eaton, or any other Pulaski County administrator to find a date and time for this game. Talk to the Lincoln County administration for that.

Without sounding like a jerk, it really is not Pulaski's problem to make room for Lincoln. It was Lincoln's school system that has denied them the opportunity to play the game. Coach Settles had even said more kids were out last week than this. I would love for the game to happen, but don't throw accusations about coach Hines when all he is doing is looking out for his players' best interests. I agree that it would be a great fit to play on the 30th, if Garrard would agree to move the game. Let's just hope cooler heads prevail & this game does happen. As a PC fan, I just don't like the blame being placed on PC by some fans on here, when they had NOTHING to do with decisions made by the Lincoln County School Board.

It's a bad situation for all involved! I'm sure both sides want to play this game. As coach Hines put it yesterday, "It's 1 less game these kids get to play in their careers". The school district had to way the options of playing the game and risk spreading the flu even more, or biting the bullet & getting students healthy in the county. No one is to blame here. As I understand it, it is a forfeit though.

Is this confirmed? No game? Well, just got off the phone with Lincoln County high School. All school activities...including Friday night's game have been canceled. So, NO GAME FRIDAY night! this is from Lincoln County High School front office.

Sounds like poor coaching the way you are explaining it. If neither player was hurt, why were they NOT in the game? The entire defensive unit was in & PC still scored 21 in just over 6 minutes. What's the excuse for that? Saylor never left the field. The game winning catch was made over him with 10 seconds to go. It was another in the long list of classics PC has played over the last 2 years. Everyone learned Friday night... NEVER count this team out!

The PC/ SW game will decide it, no doubt. That game may just short circuit the scoreboard at PC. PC has trouble stopping the run & I believe the SW defense won't be able to stop PC's offense. This will be another game that comes down to the last seconds, just as it did last year. DO NOT miss this game! That being said, I will take Pulaski winning their 1st district title in school history.

The CATS won but, come on, that game Friday night was INSANE!! Great game. That makes 4 out of the first 5 games for PC this season that have been decided in the last 12 seconds! The Maroon faithful can't handle this much more! Looking forward to Friday night.

Look forward to seeing these 2 play again next year at PC Field! Pulaski was the better team Friday night. In my opinion, they would beat Rock again if they played next week. But, we all have our own thoughts on things. The so-called clip on the opening kickoff was not a clip. I went back & watched the video. #4 had his helmet in the front of the shoulder pads on the block. There was some contact on the final play, no doubt. Bottom line is PC stopped Rock when they had to & Rock could not stop PC. Time to get ready for Friday night!

Neither team played defense well Friday night. It was more like an arena game. PC found a way to make a stop when it counted most! Total offensive numbers and time of possession are deceiving. Rock held the ball long periods of time & would have to travel 75-80 yards on drives. PC got the ball at the 40 and beyond to begin every drive after the McQueen TD kick return. Much shorter field. And PC scored so quick! Rock may have thought they could play D, but PC showed Friday night they can score on just about anyone! And it is only to get better as the season goes.
