Who is in that district?

Pulaski County - They are a better more complete football team without Muse, defensively they will give up points but will be able to throw the ball on anyone in the district.

Who is in that district?

Great question.

I will take Southwestern and Pulaski in a close second. I think SW plays better defense.

Lincoln County will be odd man out this year.

I agree.

The PC/ SW game will decide it, no doubt. That game may just short circuit the scoreboard at PC. PC has trouble stopping the run & I believe the SW defense won't be able to stop PC's offense. This will be another game that comes down to the last seconds, just as it did last year. DO NOT miss this game!

That being said, I will take Pulaski winning their 1st district title in school history.

I think either South Laurel, Mercer County or Lincoln County will be the odd man out. Lincoln County has played the weakest schedule but I don't think they have put together a complete game, yet. If they find a way to play 48 minutes with heart and focused desire, they have the talent to beat South Laurel and Mercer County. We will just have to wait and see if they come together or fall apart.

South Laurel is very fast and big, they have played a tough schedule and hung in tight for the most part. I say they finish between 2-3 seed.

I agree that they could finish 3rd but I think Pulaski County and Southwestern fight it out for 1-2.

Amazing stat, last year I believe South Laurel was exactly the opposite in both categories. They lost a lot of firepower from their offense and they are installing a new identity on offense that will help them win the close games.

That stingy defense will serve them well. It will be interesting to see what happens in district play.

This week's schedule:

Southwestern at Lincoln County

South Laurel at Mercer County

Pulaski County at Barren County (non-district)
