I thought the contracts were on a 2 year rotation? NL should be on the schedule at Pulaski week 0.

Are they still opening with Pulaski Co. in Week 0? I had heard they decided not to honor the 2nd game of the contract. Has anyone else heard this? I think the next was supposed to be played @ PC.

#1 through #4 seeds are wide open. It won't matter who is where in this district. Just don't want to play Casey in its own floor in the first round.

Ok, unless McCreary has moved districts in, let's say, the last 2 days, what is your point? Pulaski, Somerset, Rockcastle, and Casey make up the 47th District. Mcreary is in the 48th district . So, how do McCreary's 2 wins over PC have absolutely anything to do with how weak the 47th is this year? It is very weak. This could be the weakest the district has ever been. Any one of the 4 teams in this district can win it.

Even with the loss, the Maroons are light years better this year than last. This is a team that only won 4 games all year long. Already a 7 game win streak(being snapped yesterday). Congratulations to Coach Miller and the young Maroons. You are going to see many more Ws this year.

Nothing wrong with high expectations from a coaching staff. i get that. But isn't determining whether a coach is doing his job and doing everything he can to compete the Ad and the Principal's job? It is at my school. I am sure it is at yours too. I am not saying that there isn't a place for a parents opinion, but not where this survey takes it. I actually don't see this as much a problem with the parents - these type of parents are at every school everywhere ( even on the team in Remember the Titans) - the problems is that the administration either bought into a survey that they didn't commission and were afraid of the financial repercussions or they were spineless and allowed a parent to their jobs. I am not sure what is going on there, but in either case it is a sordid and messed up affair. Good luck in the future Dragons.

To piggy back the last few quotes, I want to say that winning cures alot. If Highlands were to hit a streak of 2-8 ( and man this is wishful thinking:D), do you think Coach Mueller would want to take those calls? Do you all think that he would have the support he does now? The answer is yes at Highlands- because I think as a fan base/parent base there is a basic understanding of how football works.Now at any county High in the state a string like would have the villagers at the gate. This survey was S. Oldham Parents' pitchforks and torches. This was, as one of the poster on here put it, a way fora few parents to focus on only their kid. My question is, what will they do if they get the same result from the next coach, will they break out the survey again and try to run this one off keep doing this until they get what they want or teir kid graduates. My other questions to coaches out there who read this, what does this say about the administration of this school to allow parents to control a situation like this? What does it say to the other coaches iin other sport in that school? Is the survey going to be used on them? I think Andrew Jackson said the "Precedence is a dangerous source of Authority". Sometimes we don't stop to think about that.

Having had the opportunity to see the survey, I would have to disagree wih you. Parents should not have a say on the "on-field " performance of a coach, a say on how he uses talent,a say on if his offensive scheme/ gameplan was effective. I know that you weren't privy to the survey, so I know you wouldn't know that those were some of the survey questions. Just think these questions were out-of-bounds if you ask me.

I thought that your RB Rowe(?) should have been in the honorable mention. He was load for everyone. Gonna be a great one over the next couple of years.

Minute by agonizing minute!!! The first couple of weeks after the season are always the toughest. Just can't seem to get into the basketball mood yet.

My opinion, a Head Coach that knows when to let his assistants do their jobs is a pretty smart head coach. I don't think coach french would let anything crazy happen. He is a very good head coach. This is just a start for Boyle.

I know in years past a cable system in Louisville, I believe Insight, had the rights to the games. I don't know how it will work in Bowling Green. FSN usually has the games on delay for a week or so after they are played.

Good thing is your team gets the chance to shut everyone up. All you have to do is make the trip over here in 2010 and beat Pulaski. Should be real easy as you say it. And, yes Pulaski will be loaded again in 2010. Why wouldn't people, in our own home town none the less, talk up OUR hometown football team? You talk up yours. What's the difference?

Didn't really like the outcome, but it was a very good football game. So many this year!

Actually jericho, we do not know what you have to put up with. Enlighten us, please. PC football is on the right track, getting the attention of everyone around. As for Highlands, nothing but class. Plain and simple. It is a program EVERY program should strive to be. Best of luck to the Bluebirds this weekend.

I had the pleasure of watching many exciting games this season following the Pulaski County Maroons. 5 of their first 6 games were decided on the games final play! My favorite had to be the big comeback at Rockcastle County as the Maroons scored 21 unanswered points in the games final 5 minutes. It was a 45 yard 4th down bomb from Zach Eastham to Alex Abner with under 10 seconds left to give PC the win 47-41. Absolutely crazy game! The Whitley County vs PC game in round #2 of the playoffs is also right up there. PC traveled 90 yards on just 3 plays with under 2 minutes to go to beat Whitley 40-34. It was truly one crazy season for Pulaski County. They weren't all pretty, but, boy were they exciting!

For those interested, Eastham had x-rays done, nothing broken or torn, just sprained. Should be ready to start basketball in about 2 weeks. Good news for this young man.

I also want to add that every Highlands fan that I met yesterday definitely showed class and grace in winning. I was indifferent because of some of the post I had read on here prior to the game, but you guys deserve all the accolades that come to this team. I feel our boys now know what the measuring stick is and how much they have to work to get to that point and believe they are up to the task! I know the score is not how we wanted it to be but people outside of Pulaski may not realize how special this bunch has been to the school. When they were freshmen, they had to endure a 2-8 season ( with a lot them playing). The journey has lost some good players to injury and other problems but they knew that they wanted to win and committed to doing so. We were truly honored to travel up there to see them play on what was the biggest stage for this bunch yet. I know that they have put this ship in the right direction and now it is up to "new" seniors to continue the fight! Good luck to the Bluebirds next week. You have a new fan -until we play you again next year!

Congratulations to Somerset and Coach Lucas! GET THE INTERIM TAG OFF THAT MAN!!!!! IF that man has to go through the interview process after the season, Jumper fans should call for the Super's head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck next week in Bowling Green!

Just home from Highlands. Congratulations to the Bluebirds. They truly are a machine. HUGE crowd made the trip for PC. And yes, we would all do it again and again! Remember, we were not even supposed to be playing after week 1 of the playoffs... or week 2...or week 3... and so on! I can not tell you how proud I am of those kids! They will be back next year! As for Zach Eastham, word we got from the team was a severe sprain with some ligament damage. He will be out for around 4 weeks. He is the starting point guard for the Maroons basketball team. Abner did a good job of relieving Eastham, especially playing with a separated A.C. joint in his right shoulder. To the SENIORS of Pulaski County High School I say THANK YOU!!! You have accomplished something no one in this school system has ever done; win a District and Region Championship! No matter the outcome of tonight's game you are, and forever will be CHAMPIONS! I, as do all Maroon fans, Salute you!
