Knox Central has improved since the first week of season. They should win, but will be a close game.

Elder too strong, 3 tds. or more.

Bell County should win this game by 3 tds.

The freshmen and jv. have good coaches, Coach Sammons doesn't utilize them at varsity games, he calls all the offensive plays, and some on defense. Coach Warnock and Coach Mullins, (JV) [4-1] record, Coach Meenach and Coach Stephens, [4-0] record, Coach Sammons varsity, [1-5], he should listen more to his assistants, he's kind of set in his way about the game of football, my way or no way.

Watched practice yesterday, 28, varsity player's practiced, usually there are 40 some, injuries have really hurt at this time of the season some may return, by the time playoffs roll around, or sooner.

Does anyone think Coach Mike Sammons will get his first ever signature win at Greenup County? Signature win means like a Ashland, Russell, Boyd County, Lawrence County, Raceland, Mason County, his 3 yr. record to date is, 2005 [1-9], 2006 [3-7], 2007[1-5], so far 1 district win in 2 and 1 half season's. What are your thought's.

Final, both team's were unbeaten coming into game. 1st qtr. Greenup recovered a fumble on opening kickoff, and marched down to paydirt, with quarterback #9, sneaking in on the goal line. Coal Grove answered with a scoring drive of their own, on Greenups next possession, they mixed the pass and run very well, with #34 running it in from short yardage, to make it 12-6 at the half. 2nd half both defenses played real good. 4th qtr. Greenup County with 1:32 to play, held Coal Grove, who had 1st and goal at their own 3 yd. line 4 plays, for the win. Defense, once again was the difference, to keep the freshmen still undefeated. #7 is practicing, 4 linemen injured, #58 broke arm, several other's dinged up, will probaly use alot of sophmore's and freshmen, due to the rash of injurie's we have suffered the last 2 wks. Plus the 2 wk. suspension the coach handed down at the 2 player's during the Raceland game.:confused::confused::confused:

The team needs to play hardnosed football like the jv. and freshmen, just go out and have some fun, and lay the wood to the Tomcat's, leave it all on the field.

Now Russell is getting into the meat of their schedule SK, and Mason County looming, no way this team can stay with Belfry this year, good luck.

Greenup County play's Ashland this Friday, Lawrence County must play Breathitt County. We play LC Oct. 19, at Lloyd, Kentucky.

I hear you, we are really thin at several position's, due to injuries, suspension's, player quitting, when team needed him most, his attitude, won't be missed, jv. team won, they are 4 and 1, some of those boy's, need to start get playing time, what do you think?

Does anyone know the status of Thomas? Plus your right, Ashland has to win, 1 of the 2 district games coming, to get into the playoff's.

Final, defense got the shutout, they played hard, #9 frosh qb. threw 2 td. pass's, one to #3 Cambell, and one to #41 Grubb, #33 Lyle 2 extra pts. Big game coming up next Monday, when Ashland travels to Lloyd, to take on the Musketeer's, game time 6:00 p.m. jv.

I hate to burst your bubble but I agree with mom55, your only suppost to be out for 1 game not 2. Even if it was their behavior, they should have been punished not set out for the game.Now back to FBALL, are team really needs #2 in the game.I mean our boys want to win,and we need all we can get.I think the boys are tired of changing positions and all of these injuries. And since your praising Coach Sammons for something that is not right,then maybe you could use him in your football program.

Reoorted in paper that Thomas injured his ankle, do you know his status, that's a big chunk of your offense injured, sorry to hear this.

Yes it was a hip lower back injury, Ithought coach left him to long he was struggling to walk and throwing in obvious pain ,did'nt have much on the ball. #6 is being moved back to quarterback, today at the jv. game at Symme's Valley, freshman did'nt do to bad in game Friday, he was 3-8, for 29 yds. He needs more arm strenghth, has trouble with the intermediate and long ball, was told by football mom 40, that #2 and #74, already sat out the KHSAA mandated 1 game but, cOACH Sammon's is holding them out of this game also, can you see the reason for this?:laugh:

1njury update, #25 Hannah, torn ACL, #7 dingedup, #22 broke toe, several bangedup, #2 and #74 will be back off suspension, still needs to move some more people around, hope all these players get back on the field.

What are your thought's about this game? I know both team's will play hard, who would of thought their season's, would be like it, has gone so far, both team's have came up short of reaching some of the goals, that were set , before the season started.
